“Paradise in Buzios”
Reviewed 2 January 2014

We travelled to Buzios with my family for christmas. We had heard of this hotel from several websites and decided to give it a try! we were more than impressed! this beautiful luxury boutique hotel had everything we were looking for. The rooms were spacious, extremely clean and comfortable! with a marvellous view overlooking the water! rooms were equipped with minibar fridge and a safety box for your precious belongings. The Hotel itself is beautiful, i have to admit the photos on here do not do it justice! at night specially, it has a romantic vibe! absolutely stunning. The staff was more than welcoming and did everything in their power to make our stay memorable, the concierge, Sebastian went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay, he suggested and organized a private boat tour so we could explore the different beaches and some islands! As a plus, the hotel has a few restaurants located on site as well as a few steps down the road, the Cafe Atlántico is, i believe, their main restaurant and the food there was to die for! service as well was pristine! We were greeted with a welcome cocktail and a free massage at the spa! we took advantage of this and decided to indulge in a few more relaxing treatments which i recommend to anyone who visits the hotel. The spa staff were extremely nice and the services are definitely worth experiencing! I had Angelo as my masseur and i have to admit i had never had quite a relaxing massage like this one! definitely its money's worth!
If you are looking for a luxury vacation with all amenities on site i would deffinitely recommend this hotel! I cant wait to go back! we spent a week there and i have to say it was not enough, we were quite sad to have to leave!

This hotel looks like something out of a holiday magazine! Beautiful pool area with plush sun loungers with little nooks and craies to explore around the hotel. Our room was fabulous with our own sun lounger and hammock on the balcony. We had a large freestanding bath in the bedroom and a fantastic view onto the bay. They were so helpful organising a day trip for us so we could visit all the beaches in buzious. We took advantage of the complimentary welcome message and yoga class which were great. 5 mins walk to town, very convenient location. One day it was very rainy and they placed umbrellas outside everyones door which was a nice personal touch. we told them it was our honeymoon and they treated us to breakfast in our bedroom on the first day. Cannot fault this hotel!

Room Tip: treat yourself to the top suite if your on your honeymoon- it wont dissapoint!

Beautiful, rustic-chic hotel with a claming palette of colors and decor. Worth the price. Close to the shopping area and restaurants (which is a big bonus because cabs are extremely expensive in Buzios). There's a walkway down to the lower road that takes you to the shops, most other hotels don't have this and you have to walk a long way around. Great breakfast, great staff. We were upgraded when we arrived.

The only downfall is that kids aren't allowed - at the time we didn't have any so we didn't think twice about this, but the last time we had our little one with us and so we stayed at their sister hotel "Abracadabra". Don't be fooled by the name, Abracadabra was wonderful, same helpful staff and quality, plus you can eat, use the spa and the access to the lower walk way at Casas Brancas because they are sister hotels.

The restaurant downstairs, outside the hotel, is couzy, with an excellent view, great snacks food, with a wine...

Just a 5 minutes (or less) from buzios, from all the action is... at the same time a quite place... with no noise

It is not necessary to say, but Buzios, it is a charming beach town... one of the best in Brazil... we will be back...

Room Tip: you are in a beach town, you have to request a room with a full sea view...

We had a deluxe room with an ocean view and it was perfect. The room was a large and airy with a sitting area and a capsule coffee maker, the wash and shower area was quirky but quite functional.
The hotel staff were very attentive and the breakfast was was very adequate. Overall a throughly enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a balcony and an ocean view

We spent 6 blissful nights at Casas Brancas - we had a large balcony with the most amazing view & a day bed that was just heavenly.

All the hotel restaurants were nice although the hotel needs to do something about the flies hovering on the breakfast buffet...

The view from the deck area is just amazing and this hotel is all about getting pampered & relaxing whilst taking in the views.

The location is fantastic near the shops & restaurants. Rocka was beautiful but perhaps a little over rated we felt.

However, there were a couple of important issues that I think need to be addressed. I had a massage & the massage therapist was so rough with my neck, bending & contorting it... I actually was wondering whether she was attempting to crack it. My neck was sore for days & I was so disappointed. Not to mention the danger of contorting necks like that!
The other serious issue was out transfer from the hotel to Rio Airport. I do realise that this isn't actually hotel staff but the hotel does endorse this transfer company. Our driver, Ricardo, was such a maniac on the roads I spent the 3 hour journey genuinely fearing for my life & thinking we would surely crash. Not a nice ending to our stay!

Checked out this morning and wished we had been checking in. Perched on top of a hill overlooking the sea and a short walk to the main shoping centre of Buzios, and a multitude of restaurants to cater for all tastes, Casas Brancas ticked all our boxes. The accommodation was of a high quality and the service and attention of all the staff was excellent. A great breakfast gets the day going, but at a pace that reinforces the laid back, chilled-out atmosphere of the place. A day trip to Brava beach, a short distance away, where the hotel operates the Rocka restaurant and beach facility was definitely worth it. Some other things that really worked well, and make a difference, were the Wifi and the hair dryer! All in all, a great stay at a great place.
