João Fernandes is a crowded yet unbeliveable beach. The trick is to get there a little earlier than the crowd (about 10-11 AM should do) and secure a little beach space for you. The beach has no waves and normally has great sea temperature (but not always).
I think it's the best in Búzios. You can do great snorkelling in a boat-secured area about 50 meters from the shore, with great sealife to observe. You can see turtles, great amount of fish and of different species, in a depth of about 4 meters or even shallower, which makes it very easy even to oberve it from the surface. Very popular spot for that.
Additionally you can do great stand-up surfing, with different spots to see. My favourite beach in Búzios for sure. Great for all ages.
