We had a superb week here in November and were looked after very well. The reception staff and service in general were excellent. Breakfast is the usual Brazilian fruits, cold meats, cereals, cheeses, cake etc. No hot stuff but all good. There are two PCs with free internet access in the games room. Free wifi is also included but its range was very limited and the only practical place to get a signal was outside by the pool (fine at night) or on the steps of the games room. I'm guessing an ancient wifi router is responsible.
Because we were staying a week out of high season, we got quite a few things that I'm guessing would not normally be included.
First, we were upgraded to the suite in the main building for free. Lovely to have the extra room and the view of the ocean.
Second, there were free caiperinias every evening from 5pm to 7pm. That's right: big, extremely good, unlimited caiperinias (though in practice we struggled to get through more than three each). I asked and they don't do this in the high season (it would be very impractical I imagine).
Third, on the Friday night the receptionist had two free-entry tickets to the latest Buzios night spot Pacha that she gave us. Pacha usually costs an astonishing R$80 entry so we had a very good evening indeed.
Fourth, on the Thursday night we got vouchers for free seafood risotto at a local restaurant. In practice, this made a nice starter with pre-dinner drinks.
As you can see, they really looked after my partner and me.
