The rooms are basic but crisp and clean and come with a balcony. The pousada is safe in a walled off compound.
A good selection of fruit, cereal, juices and bread/pastry at breakfast.
Complimentary wifi

An excellent Italian restaurant/bar just down the street on the corner for a late dinner if you prefer to stay close to the pousada at night time

When we arrived at the bus station in Paraty we were unsure of the location of the hotel so just got into a taxi. The driver showed us the price list and 15 R was the price- we thought this was good but the journey was 5 minutes max lol - you could easily walk it if you ask for directions and don't have much luggage.
The hotel was clean and the decor was modern. swimming pool was available.
There was wifi but no pc.
Security was good since they had gates around the hotel and space to park your car.
Location was ok if you didn't mind a 15 min walk into the old town, which we found pleasant.
There was a great restaurant on the corner of the hotel by the canal and the bridge which we highly recommend.
When we arrived we were greeted with smiley faces and friendly staff who spoke some English.
Our room was airy, bright and clean. Bathroom was small but clean and good shower.
Tv had games and satellite channels as well as radio. Access was temperamental.
Staff did our laundry 20 R for a bag.
Breakfast was typically Brazilian and a good range including bananas and pancakes!!
Generally definitely recommend this hotel.

After searching for this hotel for about 1 hour after nightfall, my husband and I were greeted by the kind owner and shown our room on the main floor of the hotel. The room itself was clean and spacious, however it was sparsely decorated and looked rather monastic. There are no screens on the windows so misquotes can be annoying after nightfall, but our room had a/c so it wasn't much of a problem. We kept the door to the bathroom closed and had the window opened in there and found a gecko on the wall one morning (which was actually kind of cute).

Overall, the hotel was a great place to stay. The owners were very nice, the hotel was clean, safe and secure. Breakfast was typical by Brazilian standards (coffee, toast, pastries, cold meats and cheeses) and was filling.

The only thing that may turn people off this hotel is the location. The hotel was difficult to initially find as there are few accurate maps of Paraty on the internet (not really the hotel's fault, though). It's located outside the historic centre of Paraty so people who want to be very close to the centre of the city may be disappointed. If you don't mind the nice 15 minute walk (safe and beautiful) to the centre of Paraty I definitely recommend this hotel.

Tip: Using rolling luggage in the historic centre is nearly impossible as the roads are cobbled and very rough. Most roads outside the historic centre (which this hotel is located on) are paved so the hotel is a bit more accessible than the hotels in the centre if you have heavy or rolling luggage.

I got here late at night and the guy at the counter (the owner's son?) didn't really take to much interest. We had to pull our luggage up the stairs there is no elevator. The room is decent no luxuries: the basics. The bathroom is small and when I swatted a mosquito on the ceiling the ceiling came off! I don't even know how but there was an opening to the outside! I managed to fix it so that more bugs wouldn't get in. There is also no shampoo provided just a bar of soap so bring your own. Otehrwise the location is good and it is walled in so no criminals can enter. The breakfast is decent. Bring "OFF" bug spray and spray the sheets and yourself before going anywhere. Close all the windows so you dont get bitten. The owner is sweet and seems to take pride in the place.

A pousada e muito tranquilo, imaculado, a cafe de manha e muito bom, e a dona da pousada e uma simpatica! This pousada is very quiet, spotless, the breakfast buffet is very good, and the owner is SO friendly. Although she does not speak English (it helped that I speak basic Portuguese), this absolutely charming lady makes every effort to make you feel welcome when you arrive, and she greeted me by name when I first walked through the door - a really nice touch :-). If you've visited Brazil before, you'll know about the warm Brazilian hospitality, but the friendliness we experienced here was something really special. We wished we could have stayed longer. Rooms are extremely comfortable, and ours even had a spa bath in it! Location is also good, as whilst it is on a quiet street, it is only a short walk to the attractive colonial town centre (make sure you wear sneakers/trainers, or you'll be slipping and sliding on the smooth cobbled streets), or the nearby (better) town beach. Highly recommended :-)))

For a good price, you get a comfortable room, clean, good breakfast. About 15 minutes walking to the historic city centre in a nice walkway beside the channel.
Silence for a good night of rest!!!
