Calm and well kept around 25 minutes walk from the town, or R20 with a cab. Garden and pool area super nice, magical feel at night. Attention to detail. Covers on sun chairs changed every day, etc. Pool not heated so swims in October was pretty quick :) There was a hot tub that we wanted to use on rainy days but unfortunately this was out of order. Flowers simply amazing. Dogs allowed so at times quite a few dogs loose around the garden plus the two belonging to the place, we didn't mind much but good to know.

Rooms large and spacious. Bar soap and shampoo provided so bring your own conditioner, lotion etc. We stayed at the bottom floor which was perfect as we had a toddler, no stairs to fall down. Bed a bit on the short side for my husband, but rooms were kept very clean.

Breakfast is served in a covered area outside by the river, sometimes we could see some very nice birds down here. Nice fruits, food selection a bit heavy on the sweet side, but once we realised we could also order eggs from the staff we did not miss anything.

Overall a good stay, lovely massages, peaceful setting away from town, and any problems we had were gracefully compensated for by the owner.

This pousada is simple, but clean and well-kept. It is situated 25 mins walk out of town centre, in quiet neighborhood. We found the walk a bit far with small children, but the drive is quick and easy. (I would not recommend the walk at night.) Park at the large gravel lot by the main bridge into town - R$10 per day - just come and go with the same ticket all day. A loft room easily accommodates a family of 4. Hot water is a bit temperamental in the showers. We were bothered by the noise from other rooms (tv on in the middle of the night), but on the whole enjoyed our stay. Lovely pool, beautiful garden, outdoor setting for breakfast buffet.

Room Tip: Loft rooms are on the second level of the building, offers a double bed in loft area and can accommodate two single beds plus couch in living area. Garden rooms are smaller and open up onto ground level.

This lovely and cosy pousada is in a great location to stay in Paraty. It is close enough to walk to the touristic area (around 25 mins) along a scenic walk along the river. However, as it is not in the busy centre you are able to enjoy the scenery and calming noises of the birds.
The rooms are simple but well furnished and clean, with good wifi access. The pool is very 'zen-like' with trees and sunbeds surrounding it. The garden breakfast area was very nice and you were abe to enjoy a complete breakfast by the river, watching the exotic birds eat tropical fruit. Great stuff! We'll be back again.

The Bambu Bamboo pousada is the perfect place to stay in Paraty: At the same time, it's close enough to the touristic area (20min walking along the river max) and far enough to have the calm and just the birds and monkeys noises.

The rooms are very simple and well done. Super clean
The spa is very simple but the massage team are highly skilled.
The breakfast is simple, but complete: Real fruit juice (squeezed), cakes, cereals, cold cuts, breads, coffee and fresh fruits and the area where it is served is such a gift, just open to the little river which crosses the town, perfect to relax and enjoy your morning.
Mari, the manager, is always watching everything and making sure everybody is having a great time. She can arrange anything you need.
We will definitely stay there again!

Room Tip: Ask for the Loft rooms (first floor). The ground floor rooms faces the swimming pool.

very nice pousada with beautiful gardens and a lovely swimming pool.
rooms were clean and tidy and the breakfast in the garden dining area was very good.

the only drawback is that there is approx 25-30min walk into the old town. this is no big deal during the day as it is a nice walk. However a short 5min section does not have a pavement which can make it tricky at night with traffic etc. Taxi's cost a flat rate B$20 into town which is quite expensive for a journey of 5mins
