Once renowned for it's opulence and star-studded clientele, the Copacabana Palace today is overshadowed literally and figuratively by the more luxurious and modern hotels that line the beautiful crescent Copacabana Beach. Perhaps in an attempt to compensate for it's fading glory, the Copacabana Palace was the only place we found in our week-long stay in Rio De Janeiro lacking in the friendliness and courtesy that appears to be ingrained in the Brazilian people. Definitely not worth the money.
