The 19th century building and wood, mirror and glass interior is spectacular. It is well worth poking your head in if you are walking around Centro. The snacks and sweets are very good. Try a cachaça tart! Tea on the top floor is an option for those who like that in the afternoon. Coffee drink? Be warned. A cappuccino will come with a mountain of what can only be described as icing on it. If that weren't enough, it will already have sugar and cinnamon in it. Pack a toothbrush for this visit. Our party had three cappuccinos and a small assortment of treats. The bill ran R80, which is quite a bit I'd say. Servers seem tolerant of having to wait on customers. There might be a line, but it moves quickly.
