Cais do Oriente, the acclaimed Rio's restaurant has closed its doors at Rua Visconde de Itaboraí, 8 - at the historic center. At the same place there is a new restaurant named "Cais". simply like that (meaning "quay" in Portuguese). The name is just about the same, but it is a completely different restaurant, with a new owner, a new Chef and a new style. Even the décor has been renovated. We were there for lunch on a Thursday and enjoyed it immensely. Attentive service, good wine list and delicious food. Prices are accordingly to those practiced in Rio, what may mean expensive. Give it a try, you'll enjoy the new "Cais".
