Patronized by Copacabana locals and with an excellent website, O Peixo Vivo is a well-run and hospitable Brazilian restaurant with traditional flourishes. The items on a large menu, most of which can be ordered for one (meia) or two persons (inteira), include churrasco misto (grilled meats) and moqueca de camarão (shrimp stew made with coconut milk and lime). To accompany excellent food, there is a good list of wines, Argentine, Chilean and Portuguese (avoid the few Brazilian offers). On the other hand, the desert menu is limited.
