“Should've stayed here instead!”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

Only stayed here because flight was delayed 12 hours, so airline stashed us here for the night! Not bad at all! Was in Rio for 10 days for World Cup and stayed at another hotel in Copacabana but would've loved to have stayed here instead. Located in a quieter part of town and away from all the Fifa Fan fest madness. Staff was professional and very helpful. Rooms are clean, spacious and some offer great views of the beach. Queen size beds were comfortable and bathroom was large and accessible. Breakfast was great compared to my other hotel; wide selection of pastries, fruits, coffee, tea and the croissants were awesome! Fresh out of the oven! Considering this is one of the pricier hotels in Rio, it may just be worth it to spend a little extra for comfort next time your're in Rio. I most definitely will!

We stayed at this hotel one night only while we waited to rejoin our cruise ship. The hotel is very nice and clean. The staff very polite and helpful. We asked for a room with a view to the Ocean and had gorgeous views to the Copacabana beach. The rooms are spacious and so are the bathrooms, however, I did not give it an excellent rating as there was no warm water running in our room. We called the front desk and they immediately sent someone but to no avail they could not fix it, then they offer us to use the bathroom of the guest room next door, which really was not very convenient but it only had barely lukewarm water. Breakfast was included as part of the rate, however it was nothing to right home about.

Room Tip: The rooms with a view to the Copacabana beach are very nice.

Very friendly and professional staff who all speak good or very good English. The rooms are excellent with A/C, fast enough WiFi even for Skype video calls. The new restaurant is very clean and well maintained with linen table clothes and waiting on staff who enjoy their job. It is a hotel I frequent and would like to see some changes on the food menu.

We (a conference husband, a pregnant wife and a 1 year old baby) have a nice room at 5th floor with a ok-size for a family and a great view of Copacabana. That's about it for the good stuff at the hotel! Oh yeah, the breakfast is ok.

The wifi works well....when it wants to...it disconnects frequentley. For our friend at 14th floor there's no wifi at all.

As far as the service and food goes it's awful. The staff have problems speaking and understanding english. The worst thing is that they "pretend" to understand english and it just results in misunderstandings and annoyments. The roomservice food is not even what it says it should be; a mozzarella pizza (smallest pizza I've ever seen) without tomato sauce, no mozzarella and a undercooked pizza bread topped with loads of mealted cheese...euw! And the cheeseburger tasted awful aswell.

Housekeeping is not satisfactory due to lack of complete cleaning and removing stuff that shouldn't be touched.

But the biggest annoyment is the fact that they are renovating at different floors, so trying to keep a baby sleeping during the day is hard work. Also, the frequent phonecalls from the reception to our room wakes us up...so, we have difficulties trying to sleep well here. The day can pretty much be ruined with a sleep deprayved jetlagged baby and family.

There's a lot of hotels alongside Copacabana and it's most likely you'll find a better hotel than this when you decide to visit this wonderful city. As far as everything else goes; the beach, the city, good food, wheather, and the people, it's all great! Have a nice trip!

We stayed in the Windsor Leme over Easter as an English family visiting Rio. The hotel's proximity to Copacabana beach is excellent. During our stay the breakfast selection was one of the best i've seen; very extensive and nicely prepared. Food like scrambled eggs were freshly cooked and not blitzed into oblivion like many hotels i stayed in. Our room did not overlook the beach. We had a back street view but not a problem; street was quiet at night time. With two double beds to accommodate us, we weren't disappointed with room size or layout. Unlike other reviews, we found the WIFI not very functional, but that may have been down to english computers and phones on foreign networks. The hotel really stood out for us on our leaving day when the hire car had a flat battery. I wont forget the feeling of vulnerability of having a mechanical fault on a public holiday in a foreign land with language problems. The reception staff and hotel porters really helped out to get us going again so full marks for that.

Room Tip: I guess you could ask for a sea view room.

We,my husband and I were in this hotel once more. It is a very confortable hotel, well located in front of the beach of Copacabana.Rooms are very large and quite confortable. The view,if you have the chance to stay in front of the beach is superb.Staff is very friendly and helpful.Breakfast is good and what is really terrible is the food of the restaurant.Don't eat there. You will spend a lot of money and the food is awfull! The wifi is free and works very well.I recommend this hotel if you want to have an ageable stay in Rio.

Room Tip: Pay a little more but choose a room with view of the Copacabana Beach.

This hotel is also called Leme Palace.
Located at the more expensive and quiet end of Copacabana, the hotel has been recently refurbished although the style is still rather dated. The staff tries to be helpful but very few speak English.
I had a large room with a partial sea view. The AC was incredibly noisy so had to turned it right down. The place is very clean, the wifi was working very well for me and the breakfast buffet is pretty decent. Of course the best feature is the gorgeous beach a few steps away.
This hotel is well suited for business trips, I wouldn't recommend it for a family holiday.
One last piece of advice, the walls are pretty thin and the Brazilians are very vocal lovers.
