We stayed at Hotel Regina for carnival and I must RAVE about the breakfast!

It was amazing, fresh fruit, baked pastries, plenty of eggs, fresh bread and even sandwiches for those who might not want the standard fare. Cereal, fresh juice and milk in plenty. I was more than impressed.

Its a small hotel, and its very conveniently located with metros around the corner as well as buses. We were there for about 8 nights and i would definitely go back.

There staff speak very little English but they are so helpful (including fixing things in the middle of the night).

Obrigata Hotel Regina, my fiancee and I had a great time!

Room Tip: The air conditioners are grouped on some floors and are very very noisy....get a room away from them...

This is a very good option for Rio. It's not too close to Copacabana or Ipanema, but is very close to Catete metro station (3 mins walk), from where it’s only three or four stops to the relevant stops for the beaches. HSBC ATM also 3 mins away.

Hotel is clean and rooms are modern. Staff speak English, even the helpful porters, and the breakfast was good. They also allow late checkout on a weekend (4pm) if the booking was through www.booking.com. The safe in the room was invaluable. Would recommend this as an economical option for Rio, but be aware they recommend you take a metro (or a taxi) to the beaches.

We stayed here over carnaval and found the hotel to be very accommodating especially during such a busy period. All the staff were helpful and obliging.
Rooms are spacious, clean and a good standard.
Good location on a quiet street with a short walk to the beach.
Good restaurants in walking distance and felt safe walking around at night.

We stayed in a quad room. There was enough room for 4 people with big suitcases. The room was clean and the breakfast really good. The staff has been helpful concerning transport and restaurant choices. Great value for money. I can recommend it.

Good hotel, very close to "Aterro do Flamengo", you can walk to the aterro for a good running or walk with a beautiful view. Breakfast is very good. The staff is OK, but I did not notice they are willing to go that "extra mile" for the customers.

We just stayed for one night as a stop over before heading down to Ilha Grande. It was friendly, clean and in a nice area.

Staff were friendly and helpful although they didn't seem to know as much about how to get to other tourist destinations as we'd hoped.

Breakfast was very good.

Hotel has been fully renovated, as everything inside looks like brand new. Everything works, rooms are fully equipped with comfortable beds, new matresses and blanquets, spacefull bathroom with large bathtub, desk, LCD TV and frigobar (with very convenient prices!). Staff was very kind at all times. It was great to have chosen Regina Hotel, a true 'hidden pearl' in Catete-Flamengo district. Highly recommended for business purposes as it is close to downtown, 2 blocks from 'Catete' subway station and 1 block form most buses. Also recommended for leisure trips for visitors that are not only interested in sunbathing but also in history, museums and cultural activities and atractions. I would definitely stay at Regina Hotel again

Room Tip: Superior Room #616 is comfortable and quiet with big bathroom.
