Tiny room and nothing very charming! Location is nice of course, but not worth the price. The car service was as always predatory (you ask for a taxi and you get a hotel car). I needed to make a change to my dates and the hotel was not at all flexible and would not allow anything, I was not pleased with them not being helpful in this.

we had the worst experience in Orla Copacabana, which was a pity, as it was the last week of our Honeymoon, and the price was not cheap. the only good thing i can say for this hotel is that it is located right on the beach - but you can find at least 20 hotels like that, which will you be able to sleep at night and the service will probably be better. stay away

Really nice hotel. Perfect location, good breakfast walk distance from Ipanema beach and some big shopping malls ( few minutes by taxi ).
Rooms are tiny but clean and enough for a nice stay
Taxis from hotel are more expensive but worth if you are in a hurry as sometimes is quite difficult to get one in the street.
Bellboy are friendly and very helpful

Try to pick up a sea view apartment. It worth!

A girlfriend and I went to Rio during Confederation cup (a very busy time in Rio). Hotels were overbooked and over priced and we were lucky enough to find the Orla. The rooms were what you expect for the price but the staff was great and the hotel had a perfect location! Would definitely recommend!

Orla hotel is located in copacabana waterfront (orla), at the border with Ipanema, near Ipanema fort. It is a wonderful location which allows you to enjoy both beaches at walking distance. Rooms are clean and with all comforts, but not very spacious and rather simple for the cost. View from the room was over an internal courtyard, so nothing special. Breakfast was abundant and of good quality. Wi-fi connection was weak in upper floors, so often I had to go down to the lobby to connnect with my tablet. Anyway there's a business center with two computers 24h. I recommend it for a short stay in Rio (2-4 days).

Rooms are basic with paper thin walls and single glazed windows: I was woken several times throughout the night by other guests returning from their evening out into the early hours of the morning. Rooms at the back of the hotel overlook a main street so you constantly hear the traffic (buses, buses and more buses) and people below. I requested a move to a room facing other apartments. Whilst there was no view, there was no noise (other than the old A/C unit ticking over).

Lobby area is nice but is a false representation of the rest of the hotel. Rooms are tired and could do with a facelift, or at the very least, a deep clean. Wifi is free but a little slow.

The pool is not a pool but is the size of a jacuzzi. There is a very small sun deck, ideal when off season, but can imagine it would be uncomfortable and overcrowded during peak season. Gym is serviceable.Breakfast was great (probably the best part) although the staff were not particularly friendly.

I went with low expectations during a busy period in Rio. It was expensive for what it was but then hotels in Rio seem to be. I'd recommend staying in Ipanema. It's much more upmarket with a far better selection of supermarkets, cafes, bars and restaurants.

Room Tip: Take a room on a higher floor to avoid noise from street level and also away from the hotel life.

Room was tiny. Didn't expect that tiny of a room for +200 dollars per night. The location was nice, but any hotel on the Avenida Atlantica is. The breakfast was nice. Overal it was OK, average. The service, just as any place in Rio, is kinda rough at the edges, they will not go overboard for you.
