My Boyfriend n I stayed here from August 1st to August 5th. The room was very small but clean which is ALWAYS MOST IMPORTANT 2 Us. The back view of the hotel was poor conditions and NOT A PRETTY SITE @ ALL; but who goes on vacation to stare out the window....NOT I/US!!! The front desk staff was VERY HELPFUL with tour information, restaurants and anything/everything we asked or needed. Even though we don't speak any Spanish or Portuguese the did EXCELLENT with communicating with us and making us feel welcome in their country and establishment which we GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! The complimentary breakfast was fresh and good daily also very fulfilling to start your day. The section of the beach across the street was full of excitement and mixed with tourists and locals that made it GR8 fun in the sun beach days everyday. Overall I would DEFINITELY STAY and RECOMMEND The ORLA HOTEL to friends and family!!!

but...the room, wasn´t what we spected for the price we paid. the best, having Posto 6 right across the street, best beach caipirinhas in Rio. the breakfast was poor, no natural juices, dark location, no windows. there´s a gym and spa in the terrace, but looked quite abandoned.

The position of this hotel is absolutely strategic as it allows you to enjoy the Copacabana beach and Arpoador. The hotel in general is a bit old, although some effort seems to have been done to renovate the reception. Our room was a "standard" one and it was very cozy, i must say there were some small insects in the room which were "attacking" whatever we left on the desk or in the bathroom basin. Nothing unbearable anyway, but some more accurate cleaning would let it disappear.
Price for this hotel is very good if compared with other hotels in the same area, so i would anyway recommend this one, possibly choosing a better/bigger room with sea view.
It also offers a magnificent rooftop view over Copacabana and Leme beaches

Reasonably priced hotel for Copacabana. Hotel is directly across from the beach, situated at the end of Copacabana. About 5-mins walk to Ipanema beach and 15-mins walk to the shopping in Ipanema. Rooms are clean and relatively comfortable. Staff speak English and are helpful with recommendations and questions.

Tiny room and nothing very charming! Location is nice of course, but not worth the price. The car service was as always predatory (you ask for a taxi and you get a hotel car). I needed to make a change to my dates and the hotel was not at all flexible and would not allow anything, I was not pleased with them not being helpful in this.
