Jeff and his crew did an excellent job mixing history, humour and charm. This is one of the best tours you'll take in Rio and the price is right!

The tour touched on all the important landmarks in central Rio, and was very informative. The guides were very enthusiastic and lively, and they could tell a story in an interesting way. We had a lot of fun, and never felt bored. Definitely recommended if you want to know/see Rio's history in a quick 3 hour tour.

How awesome was this walking tour??? Very. Starting off one could tell it was organized and friendly. Offered in three different languages---impressive! Jefferson, our guide knew so much about the history of Rio and Brazil. Actually, he knew a ton about politics, religion, history, geography in general. It was a pleasure getting to learn from him. The tour was 3 hours and covered many sights that I know I would have missed if it were left just to me and my map! We incorporated all aspects. A great intro to not only Rio but Brazil in general, awesome to see such a fine display of work ethic, passion and entrepreneurship!!! The 'stairs', 'bakery' and lunch afterwards were favorite parts of the tour!!!! Highly recommended and hats off.

Get past the beaches and tourist points and take time for this tour of downtown and adjacent neighborhoods. Guide is honest and informative about history, politics, architecture, social issues. Choose between English, Spanish, or Portuguese, and save some $ for a tip afterwards.

We found this walking tour from a flyer at the bus station and so glad we went on it on our second day here. Jefferson did a wonderful job showing us around the city and giving us great information on Rio and Brazil's history, architecture, politics, etc. All of these pieces made Rio really come alive for us. Definitely a must-go, and it's free!
