“Great location and reasonable”
Reviewed 23 January 2014

Copacabana area hotels are expensive and this hotel is reasonably priced and only one block off Avenida Atlantica in the Leme area. It is close to many nearby restaurants and shopping. We stayed there three nights and, while the room was basic, it was clean and the bathroom had been updated as well as having plenty of hot water. The staff were very helpful in assisting with our requests and in booking us on tours. The breakfast offers a good selection of fruits, breads and cooked items. The hotel is a good value for anyone wanting to stay in the Copacabana area.

It’s located about 150 meters from Copacabana Beach.
This is not a luxury hotel, but not a budget hotel. This is a normal hotel with optimal for Rio quality/price ratio.

Friendly and courteous staff. Rooms are not large. Delicious and varied breakfasts.
Near the hotel there are many cafes and restaurants where you can dine.
There are, for example, quite a budget option "per kilo", where you have to pay for the weight.

The hotel is very basic, clean room, helpful staff, good location - just a short walk to the Copacabana beach and parallel to the main Avenida Atlantica. The breakfast has an excellent selection of fresh fruits, juices, different types of bread, cooked items of scrambled egg, sausages, ham, bacon and cold cut of meats. The complimentary wifi connection is stable and fast. If you are not seeking luxury, this hotel should be good for a stay at a reasonable rate.

I wasn’t looking for much, just wanted to spend the short time in Rio near Copacabana beach before leaving the next day to Iguacu. Hotel is actually on the Leme end of Copacabana, just a side street (Rua Gustavo Sampaio) away from the beach and parallel to the main Avenida Atlantica that runs along the beach walk. The street for the hotel isn’t too busy and there are some small shops and restaurants nearby (try Shirley Restaurante just a block or so left of the hotel when facing the ocean). It’s also not too bad of a walk to Copacabana proper. Rooms have a clean feel with light woods and simple furnishings. It was comfortable but not fancy. My single room had a relatively large wardrobe, wall mounted flat-screen TV, but no in-room safe. The bathroom was basic with a shower and no tub. Breakfast was included with a fairly large but simple breakfast buffet. I liked the good variety of fresh fruits. Not spectacular but I had no real complaints and it does seem to be a reasonable place to stay for the price in Copacabana/Leme close to the beach.

The hotel is old and slightly run down but it is very clean and the staff go out of their way to be helpful, particularly the front of house staff. The cleaning staff work very hard to ensure the rooms are kept to a high standard each day. The breakfast is excellent: plenty of bread, fruit, cereal and cooked items. A big plus is the free use of the internet in the foyer. The hotel is well situated half a block from the beach and near a wide range of restaurants and shops.

The no's: the elevators slow, furniture around the 60's. Extremely well located. Its OK for the price. Great breakfast. Friendly people from top to bottom. Clean. Good bathrooms, good TV set, phone, free very fast internet. Close to the beach, good area if you're going to more expensive Windsor Atlantica, 70 feet away.

Room Tip: Most rooms look towards an inside patio.

WE stayed here in April 2013 during our 7 days trip to rio. Nice clean accomodation, good staff and Nice breakfast offered... but will be boring after 3-4 days as the food will be same every day. one problem we faced is ..even if the hotel says you get wifi in your rooms... we didnt get it in ours. We had to come to the lobby to access wifi. There is english speaking receptionists which was very helpfull for us to get lot of information about the city... and this restaurant is very close to the beach...but dont have a view of the beach as a skyscapper hotel is opposite to Acapulco. Staff was very helpful and caring which made us relaxed and had a very pleasant stay here.

Room Tip: Good clean room for sleep... no great amenities or views
