“Good Location but everything else is bad”
Reviewed 10 January 2014

I've been in this "hotel" for 3 nights on december 2013. Never again!

Restaurant food was orrible (we tried twice ordering different food). The owner Filippo suggested us a fresh fish while we got from him a bad stinky fish.
Breakfast served in the same restaurant is bad.
Cleaning service on the room was missing for three days. Room windows broken (could not be locked) Safe box missing in the room Bathroom facing the inner corridor

Location is good with terrace directly on the beach with a nice ocean view

We were upgraded to the apartment style unit with ocean views. A magnificent view out over the beach and ocean. The balcony is huge, almost too big it is unusable. If you walk all the way to the end you can look back into your neighbours apartment, which is a bit awkward. Breakfast was sensational with the cook taking specific orders. Minor complaint is that the couch is not very comfortable, I think was a fold-out but you didn't want to sit on it for very long.

Room Tip: Must have ocean views otherwise not worth it

If you happen to stay in a room facing the ocean, the spectacular layout of this beach front hotel has the feel of a battleship afterdeck. The six deep layercake stacking of each of the six floors has the curiosity of being set at least ten meters back from the floor below. This extended space is given over to an unusually huge white tiled balcony with tables, chairs, chaise lounges and gorgeous views of the ocean. The design must be a tongue-in-cheek tribute to owner and Brazilian soccer legend Pelé, as there enough room on the deck for a scrum if not a full blown party, to say nothing of the joy of throwing open the curtains in the morning for a jog around while absorbing another beautiful sunrise in Ponta Negra. This is a very nice hotel. Rooms vary, but some are like suites with separate kitchens and bedrooms. There is good lighting, decent furnishings, and zone AC. Wonderful staff at recepçao will help with organizing dune buggy tours if you are Portuguese language challenged. Café de manha is taken on the lowest deck by the swimming pool in possibly the finest setting anywhere, shaded as it is by coconut palms on the beach. Maitre d' and barman Luis will stand you an excellent caipirinha for afternoon happy hour. Enjoy.

Room Tip: Higher ocean view rooms are desirable.

After a disastrous experience at the local Best Western, we moved into this hotel. Not only was it less expensive, the wifi was better, it had a separate bedroom (the kid slept on the foldout bed in the living room) and a kitchen...and a huge balcony--right on the beach.

The aesthetics of the building are a bit dated, but totally fine- the room has more storage space than I have ever seen in a hotel. The free breakfast was top-notch, and the prices at the restaurant were reasonable. The room was quite nice (and huge).

We loved it, and plan to extend our stay.

Room Tip: I believe they all have a huge balcony overlooking the sea. But some may just be hotel rooms instead...

Celebrated New Year 2011/2012 her with my girlfriend. The hotel is fairly new and one of the owners are Brazils most famous footballplayer ever, Pele. Even got a World Cup trophy in the bar. The hotel is clean and modern and prices are fair compared to other hotels nearby . We got a Super Deluxe room with a huge terrace with a marvelous view over the beach of Ponta Negra and Morro da Careca (380Real=220USD). The room had a livingroom and a bedroom, both with flatscreens with international channels. The breakfastbuffet was light but good with the essentials; scrambled eggs, toast, sausages, cereals, fruits and coffe/tea.
The hotel was great, but we also paid for a New Year's Party and this was a disaster. The buffet was cheesebits, sausages and salad and we got a bottle of cheap "Champagne". The party was on the top floor terrace and the bar was on the ground floor. Rediculous. And the party consisted of large Brazilian families with coolers and kids. Let's say we did not stay for long and watched the fireworks and popped the champagne on our own terrace instead.
