“Great place for relaxing vacation”
Reviewed 16 May 2008

Beautiful, colourfull and happy. So is Natal, the capital of Rio Grande do Norte State in Brazil.
Don´t expect to find out big or famous museums or even a hot night life in Natal. The better to do is to enjoy the wonderful scenerie of blue and deep green waters of its beaches surrounded for huge and white dunes. There are a big variety of accommodation from top resorts to small familiar inns with uncomparable prices if the reference are the similar in europe or north america.
The food is great and cheap and the people are very friendly and like talking to tourists even when they can´t understand the language. Maybe that´s the reason why so many strangers now live in Natal.
The temperature runns between 18 to 32 º C all year round and after a busy day up and down visiting so many beaches is time to enjoy some of its dozens good restaurants with all kind of food but speciality the ones with fish or sea foods.

“Lots do do!”
Reviewed 12 June 2007

We had a fantastic holiday in Natal. Lots to do. We thought before we went that it may be a little boring just going for a beach holiday, unlike touring for a while first, but it was not. We went on two beach buggy safaris, had lots of fun in the sand dunes and visited lots of fresh water lagoons as well as markets, old farmhouses, the biggest cashew nut tree, beach locations etc. Had a fantastic lunch at the converted railway station! We also took ourselves along to a football match and felt quite safe the entire time, along with the locals. We went horseriding one day and another we went quad biking. That was brilliant!! Through mud, lakes(got a little wet but soon dried out) and up and down tracks in the dunes. Each night we caught the local bus into Ponta Negra and tried a different restaurant. The food was excellent..plenty of choice. We would catch the bus back at night and quite often the driver would drop us outside our hotel not at the next bus stop a little further down. We thought the people were very friendly! They all wanted to try and learn English. We would definately recommend Brazil.

“it's all about nature”
Reviewed 16 October 2006

Natal is a small big city. Shopping malls, heavy traffic, but overall is a good place to walk in your havaianas flipflops and open shirt.
It´s warm and cooled by ethernal wind.
Good food, special lobsters early in the year.
Get your first tan and then hire a car or a dune buggy and get lost in the beaches north or south, just go.

Last time we went early july and got outrageous discount everywhere, as the season had not started yet. Bargain, bargain, they love it.
