We came to stay as part of a snowmobile group of 30+. We found the facilities to be clean and modern. The food was excellent. The staff was courteous. The management was very cooperative when we needed a small meeting room to accommodate us. The coffee was even good. I only live in Idaho Falls and am considering bringing my wife for a weekend getaway.

We had a two night stay to go snowmobiling and the place was a mess. We showed up for breakfast and there was no cook! We asked to speak with the manager and was told he doesn't come in until later in the day? Ended up going to a bagel place in town which was very nice. When we got back from snowmobiling we again asked to speak to the manager and he still wasn't in.

A great place to stay. The food was really good and the staff was very friendly. I stayed in one of the older rooms and have no complaints.

My husband and I stayed at the Flying Saddle for the holiday weekend. I had read mixed reviews for the steak house onsite and feel that there are better dining options in Jackson. At the time of our stay the resort was still finishing some major renovations. The new pool looks like it will be really nice. We stayed in the new rooms closer to the river and the view was gorgeous. All in all I would say this is a great value for someone who can't afford the steep prices of Jackson.

This place is fine for one night. The room and the bathroom were clean and all things worked well. The bathrooms are very small. The food in the dining room is way below average.
There were four of us for dinner, and only one meals was acceptable. One broiled meal went back three times until they got it right.
We were there on a Saturday nite. On Sunday a.m. there was a complementary breakfast, and it was the worst continental breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. One young gal was responsible for keeping the coffee refilled, replenishing food, etc. and she could not keep up with it. There were bunch of people standing around holding cups waiting for coffee or milk or whatever was available. If we had known, we would have checked out and had breakfast in Jackson.

Had a great time in Wyoming and the Flying Saddle provided a comfortable place to stay. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, we had some items shipped ahead of time to the hotel and they accepted them and delivered them to our room with no problems. The room was clean, the bed and pillow very comfy.... the only negative I would say was the bathroom had older fixtures and very small, but everything worked fine. We did get a discount because the pool and hot tub is not finished yet, so that was a plus. The area is quiet and an hour drive to Jackson Hole but a nice drive. We had the breakfast buffet and dinner at the restaurant on site and it was very good. I would recommend that you check out the Coffee Cabin just around the corner the only good cup of coffee I had the whole vacation and the sandwhiches and salads are yummy.

We picked the Flying Saddle Resort for a three-night stay on a trip to Grand Teton National Park. After checking the price and availability of lodging in and around Jackson, we chose the Flying Saddle despite the distance from Jackson. We stayed in a second floor queen room with a balcony facing the Snake River. The room was very nice and had many amenities like a coffee maker, TV & DVD player, refrigerator, and microwave. The beds were very comfortable. There is still construction of an indoor pool going on, but we had no problems with noise. Because of the pool not being open we were given a good discount we hadn’t asked for.

There’s a restaurant here too; we had one dinner and three breakfasts at the Flying Saddle. The dinner was good and so was the $4.99 breakfast. The free continental breakfast was very minimal.

The place has great bones and a good future. Our one complaint was the service was a little spotty. The staff was friendly and helpful but they all seemed to be new and inexperienced. We didn’t have any major problems though and found that this whole area has the same problem.

Where else can you pay this little and sit on your balcony and watch a couple of bald eagles fishing 200 feet away? There’s also a lot to do right in Alpine---white water rafting, lake fishing and boat rentals, ATV rentals and lots of hiking trails.
