This is a fairly standard hotel, although it has no individuality. The rooms are clean, with slightly larger than average rooms. The location is decent and the staff are helpful enough. We did not enjoy the breakfast.

Comfortable 3 star hotel. Spacious room, well appointed to decent standard, albeit lacking originality and by no means luxurious. Quiet at night. Extensive buffet breakfast, good variety and quality. Service is polite but somewhat impersonal. Free WiFi throughout, reasonable speeds, not lightening. Located 700m from Rodoviaria, easy walk with rucksack maybe not with suitcase. Very few restaurants or nightlife nearby. Neighbourhood fairly run-down. Prices were very high, however stayed during World Cup.

On arrival our room was not ready by 2pm check-in. We had tickets to the World Cup for 4pm and did not have time to wait. Little acknowledgement/empathy from staff regarding our time pressure. Communication was poor as to when the room would be available. Ended up having to leave our bags at reception and return at 9pm to check-in. No compensation offered despite inconvenience imposed on us.

I might stay here again, though would preference a hotel nearer Cidade Baixa with more attentive personnel.

DETAILS: Group of friends, 3 males, mid-20's. 1 night in a private triple room with bathroom, breakfast included. June 2014 (n.b. DURING WORLD CUP). Paid US$350 total (i.e $350/night).

I found this hotel to be very smart and modern. It was good value for money especially seeing as we stayed during the world cup. The staff on reception were extremely helpful and polite, especially as we had arrived a little early for check in an needed somewhere to ditch our bags.

Our room was very modern looking, quite clean and of sufficient size. The beds were very comfy too. Breakast was very good and the breakfast room is a nice space in which to sit, chill and wake up.

There doesnt seem to be a lot of bars or cafes etc nearby but its only a 15min walk into the historical centre, where there seems to be plenty more going on. Also, theres a large shopping mall over the road. We didnt venture into it but I would think theres eateries in there. Theres also a very good takeaway pizza place around the corner.

Its not too far away from the Rodovaria (bus station). About a 10min walk. Note that its not the tiny fenced off area with buses down the street from the hotel but the large blue building further on.

I would have no problem staying here again if I were to return to Porto Alegre.

Within walking distance of the main bus station, this new hotel is just half a block from a shopping centre, but if you're arriving after dark I'd suggest taking a cab as the area around the hotel is not the most secure. My room was spotlessly clean with minimal decoration and flat screen TV, there was one English channel which was a nice touch, as usually there are none. The bathroom could use a handbar in the shower as the floor is very slippery. I requested the airport shuttle but was told there is none on weekends, just as well, as it is 30R and a cab cost me 22R, so you're better off taking a cab anyway. The breakfast was the usual offering in Brazil, and I found the staff to be friendly, professional and helpful, I would stay here again.

Room Tip: I requested a room high up with a street view and that's what I got, there was minimal noise

This hotel looks nice from the outside, same thing with the lobby. It is well located. But that is about all that is positive about this hotel. Room decoration will make you feel like you are in a hospital, bare and dull. We found a cigarette butt in the shower on the first day. And worst of all, the front desk staff, as well as the management, are not helpful at all. We had issues with our booking, with pricing discrepancies, and they did no try to help a bit. We ended up paying a lot for one of the 2 rooms we had booked there. At the end of the stay, to top everything, we were ripped off a $17 per day fee for parking. Nobody ever mentioned it would be so expensive, or that there would be a charge at all. Anyways, I will return to Porto Alegre, but will not go back to this hotel.

Room Tip: stay away from this hotel would be my advice.

I don't even know how to start. The hotel is new, suppose to be functional. The front desk and management don't know anything about customer service. Booked 2 room at the same time at the same web site and the difference of price was almost U$ 150.00. The manager didn't do anything about it. The washroom was small, a very tiny shower, cigarrete butt was left in the room by the previous guest. They charged for parking and garage service that wasn't explained at the time we check in, the room don't have any furniture to support your luggage. The payment has to be done at the check in not like any other hotel I ever been that you pay at the check out. It is a shame that a nice city like Porto Alegre that has hospitality and friendlyness as a tradition has such a horrible hotel.

Room Tip: If you can try to get another hotel, pay a little more but get a proper service.

This hotel is brand new and located a short walk from the main bus station.

The staff are friendly although only one of the army of staff on reception spoke any English.

The breakfast is average (typical for what you would receive in Brazil), the rooms are sparkling as they are all new as is the rest of the hotel.

The Downtown area is a short taxi ride away. A big mall (Total Shopping) is located on the next block.

I would stay here again.
