Very beautiful place with a lovely church of the 18th century. Wonderful restaurants of sea foods.. Is a picturesque place where you can walk in late afternoon

One of the best sunsets in the state, with small boats on the horizon and depending on the weather, a beautiful view of the Hercilio Luz bridge and the downtown Florianopolis skyline. There are some good restaurants on the coast, with decks almost on the sea and with awesome views, with good seafood dishes, mainly oysters. I do not recommend sea bathing, especially in summer and for children.

We were really curious about what was the location that was #1 among over 200 attractions in Florianopolis. So we left our all-inclusive hotel right after breakfast on a Thursday morning with great expectations, in our rental car. Signage in Floripa is excellent and we easily found Santo Antonio. And what we found was disappointing - it was already past 9 am, but no stores were open, some eatieries were starting to open, with people cleaning house. The most exciting place was the local municipal kindergarten right in front of the waterfront. Sure, we noticed the potential of some typical stores and restaurants, but we spent about 15 minutes there and left. I guess the location is popular enough in the evenings and on weekends that there'll be no change anytime soon in opening times, I imagine.

Nice restaurants with breath taking view. Great places to get a bite to eat st night. Might be a little bit chilly in the winter but they offer blankets and heaters.

Beautiful place to visit. Great restaurants with a breath taking view. Although is windy at winter, the restaurants' decks offer blankets and other options to keep you warm.
