This hotel has a warehouse feel to it. Reminds me of construction camp housing. Rooms are spartan, but very clean. TV channel selection poor. Hotel location is just OK, really out of the center of the city. Area around the hotel appears to be safe, if residential. The attached restaurant is very expensive and rather mediocre, though the service is top notch. Parking is easy and free. Internet works good. The place is full of American engineers and executives visiting the outsourced production facilities of US heavy equipment manufacturers. Hotel staff are very accommodating. But seems expensive at $100 a night.

Nice place, outdoor pool and bar are at the main entrance. Excellent churrascaria attached to hotel on other side. Would stay there again. Can walk across the st to see the river and the rapids. Breakfast in hotel was outstanding, and in a comfortable well lighted restaurant near front desk. Do recommend asking to be in room opposite the road (front desk and check in side).

Room Tip: Opposite side of hotel from main road.

The hotel is well located, a few minutes-drive to the mall and also for the restaurants and bars adjacent to the river, the Port Street (Rua do Porto), where delicious fish is eaten.
The room is small, simple, but clean. The shower is great.
The common area is also nice, with a nice and warm plunge pool with a nice small waterfall on it.
The service is not that great.
Overall I recommend the place, and considering the price, it’s a good value.

I was in Brazil on business, did not know what to really expect. Checked in around 1:00pm after 10 hour flight and long cab ride and really needed some sleep before being picked up to travel to our facility. Room was really basic, but very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Much different then US standard but still very nice. I was there in Brazilian winter so the room was comfortable with the window unit AC on. Breakfast was very good with a sizable selection. Bar staff while not conversant in English, were very good and took good care of us. Gym is not really usable. Pool was nice, did not take advantage. Only issue I had was on check out I got charged more for the room bar then I should have, but it was very minor and I blew it off. Great restaraunts within walking distance of hotel but the Sal Brasa is very expensive. The Rest Pontal Do Engenho next door was very good, specializes in a steak parmigino, covers huge platter with large plate of rice and french fries which while tasty was somewhat different.

Rooms were nice and clean, shower was hot fast!!! Internet worked flawlessly. Great little bar and sitting area out front, and a nice breakfast in the morning. What more could you ask for in a basic hotel?
