“Good restaurant”

Good food together with stylish design. Many seats and very good service despite some delays after ordering. Waiting time is however similar to other Brazilian restaurants.

“Excellent Restaurant with a Hiccup”
Reviewed 20 October 2013

Went to Kaa Restaurante for a group dinner. Upon entering, the first reaction was to be amazed by a unique and stunning environment. The interior design was fabulous. We arrived just went the restaurant opened, so we were the only people there. Less than an hour into our event, the main floor was packed with people, with most appearing to be locals.

The service was outstanding, with great attention and quick reactions.

As we were a group, we selected from a limited menu. I had the bouquet of greens with goat cheese and raspberry vinaigrette. It probably would have been good, but the dish was swimming in the vinaigrette, making the taste much too overwhelming with the tartness. Taken alone, the goat cheese on cracker was a bit plain. If you go for the salad, maybe ask for the vinaigrette on the side. Others in the group selected the classic steak tartare to start. The consensus seemed to be it was an outstanding choice, and one I'd probably make given a 'do over'.

Most of the people at my table selected a main course of bauletti pasta stuffed with guinea hen, ricotta and truffled mushroom sauce. I thought it was fabulous and a delicious treat. Another thought it wasn't very good, and another person thought it to be 'meh'. It goes to show good food is definitely different for each person according to their tastes.

Overall, the food quality was great, though with some hiccups, and the restaurant was excellent. I would go back for the purpose of selecting different dishes from the main menu.

“Great meal in a beautiful space!”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

We thought this place was excellent. First, the restaurant itself was beautiful. There is a wall of plants and a pool with water that has little waterfalls so you hear the sound of water throughout the meal. We were seated close to pool -- we were really happy about that. When our server realized we only spoke english, he got the one english speaking server to work with us. It was great. The food was fantastic. I had a fish that was crusted with a nut meal (maybe almond, I can't remember). It was great. And it sat on top of really nice pan seared artichoke hearts and hearts of palm. Another diner had the olive gnocchi -- they were really great. And another diner has a steak. Also great. The desserts were really excellent and the coffee/tea comes with a little cookie and a chocolate. Overall, wonderful experience!

“What an oasis!”
Reviewed 14 October 2013 via mobile

Firstly as said by many, from the outside you have no clue what hides behind the doors. From the hustle bustle of São Paulo it is such a place of tranquillity and perceived safety. Past the water, like crossing a river then the building opens up... it really is a magnificent space that really does give the illusion of being elsewhere.

That is not to overlook the food as it is excellent and the wine list is quite extensive by São Paulo standards. I will be going there again!

“Great Change from Churrascarias”
Reviewed 9 October 2013

I travel to Sao Paulo for work on a regular basis. We frequently go to a churrascaria for dinner, to the point where I'm tired of them. This place is a true find. Wonderful selection, delicious food, excellent service and a very cool atmosphere. Loved the shrimp with squid ink!
