Now its just average. The decor in the entry is sort of interesting but the rooms are dull...they have lost their luster. To get e decent room you have to pay an extra $75 at the front desk to be on the executive floors. If your expense policy doesn't permit this, too bad. Location is great, but for that you can hop over to Tivoli. Excellent gym, very active with a full array of equipment and good trainers. Hamburger in the chic lounge on the main floor was overcooked and dry. They charge for all drinking water in the room, a practice I find chintzy and desparate. Bathroom ammenities are nice. Good wi fi, but expensive. A has been business hotel.

Located just one block off the famous Ave. Paulista the hotel is in a lovely part of the city. Close by are numerous excellent bars and restaurants, including a Mac Donald's. The hotel has a fitness centre and a small fee applies for this, the pool area is quite small and gets shaded quite early in the afternoon. Rooms are high quality, with comfortable beds, our room was very clean, and they have an unusual curved windows due to the shape of the building. Tea/coffee is available in the room, and we found our stay very comfortable. Just be aware that this is São Paulo and be mindful of walking after dark. All in all we look forward to another visit.

Room Tip: Higher floors have less traffic noise, go for these.

Good hotel, very good location in the center of Sao Paulo.
It has a lot of shops and restaurants near, Oscar Freire is 10/15 min walking distance.
The staff are very professional and rooms are ok.
The taxi service is also very good and it's the best way to go to airports.
The breakfast is also very good.

I was in Sao Paulo for a recent business trip. This is a really nice hotel and the rates were fairly reasonable (by big city and Sao Paulo standards). The fitness facility here is among the best I've seen at any other hotel. The staff was friendly and their English was great. Would recommend this hotel.

Very comfortable rooms, clean and very well maintained. The staff throughout the hotel were just typical of the Brasilian race, really friendly helpful and approachable with nothing too much trouble for anyone. Nice atmosphere in the bar area, a good place to chill. The hotel is a good location in the centre of town.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review and your comments about the Renaissance Sao Paulo. It is great to receive such positive comments about our service, rooms and location, right in the heart of the Jardins neighborhood! As you enjoyed the bar area, I would like to take the opportunity and mention that the “Living Lounge, Bar & Sushi” was designed to offer guests an area where they could relax, work and socialize all at the same time, while having a coffee, a drink, or some great sushi. Also, the “RLife Live” calendar of events, features special evenings with live music, local DJs and sports events, making the bar the perfect spot, before or after dinner! We look forward to welcoming you again in the near future. Gil Zanchi I General Manager

Great selection for a North American visitor. Portuguese can be a challenging language but most all of the staff of the Renaissance speaks English. The service at the property was excellent. Rooms are very nice - clean, comfortable and well equipped. Very good restaurant choices and an on site spa (although I didn't use it). Excellent public areas with complimentary internet access. Internet access in the room was very good.

My Marriott Gold status got me access to the Executive Lounge which provided a very nice, complimentary breakfast and evening drinks/food. The surrounding neighborhood seemed very nice with many shopping and dining options.

All-in-all, the Renaissance is an excellent choice in Sao Paulo

Room Tip: Use status or paid rate to get access to the Executive Lounge.

Stayed here two nights while on a business trip in Brazil. This was my first trip to Sao Paulo, so I have no other hotels with which to compare. That being said, I cannot imagine there is a hotel in Sao Paulo that offers nicer accomodations and customer service. From the moment I entered the front door, I was greeted by friendly staff. The desk clerk, Luigi, was very nice and helpful (spoke English, which was nice for me) and made sure my room was at least as nice as what was reserved.

My rate included access to the club level lounge. If you can swing it, do it! the breakfast and evening foods and drinks are wonderful and plentiful. Just as important are the attendants - Andrea and Paula were the main ones who helped me during my stay. They truly have hearts for what they do - assisting guests with a variety of needs. Whether it was directions to a clothing store, ideas for sightseeing, investigating stores for specific keepsakes, or just friendly greetings, Andrea and Paula, as well as others, are among the best in the industry!

The room was spacious, updated, clean, and comfortable. The tv had several channels, only a few of which were in English. The wifi worked very well. The bathroom was clean and everything was in excellent working order.

The location is among the best - just walk around the corner to a subway station - and there are several restaurants and tons of stores for whatever you need within a few minutes walk. You can even walk to the old municipal stadium and futebol museum in about 15 minutes or so.

I highly recommend this hotel in Sao Paulo and will choose it if my travels take me back.

Location is very import to our guests, and being located in the heart of “Jardins” means you are walking distance to Paulista Avenue, many restaurants, bars and stores.
