The hotel facilities are, in general, very good. Except that from your bedroom you can hear everything outside - and Sao Paulo is far from quiet. If you're going to stay here, pack some ear plugs or you're going to have trouble sleeping. Location is good if you're on a business trip. There is free wifi, but the connection is SO slow that it will definitely anger you. Breakfast is OK, there is very little variety but what's there is good. Although if I had to pay extra myself for breakfast, I probably wouldn't, because it's definitely not worth it.

It's an apart hotel without any charm. This you already feel, when you enter to the lobby. It is very noisy, even on the 24th floor. The only positive thing is that it is next to where I work.

I stayed here for 7 nights in Oct/Nov 2011. The building is older but pretty well maintained. Rooms are set up as apartments with stove, microwave, fridge, dishes, etc and even a small utility room with a clothesline off the kitchen. I would have liked there to be paper towels in the kitchen and, although there was a coffee pot, there was no coffee or filters. The front desk staff was excellent - fluent in English, courteous, and helpful. The only drawback that I found was that the location was inconvenient for certain things that I was looking for - no supermarket within miles and no Starbucks nearby (closest is at Morumbi Shopping ~1.5 miles). There are enough lanchonettes nearby to get snacks and drinks though and a well stocked Esso convenience store 6 blocks away.

The hotel has an exercise room but I prefer to run outside and the nearest parks are Parque do Povo at 1.5 miles and Ibirapuera at over 3 miles.

Overall I feel the Mercure is a good value especially for long term stays but be prepared to leave the neighborhood for essentials.

Poor lobby, good internet WiFi, good fitness center, Poor bar and dining service.

I have got 3-rooms apartment for same price than a single room Novotel in the same area

hotel is located in a safe and clean zone of Sao Paulo, but too far from Restaurants and shopping.

If you are in Sao Paulo for business and your facilities are next to Berrini's business district, this hotel will fit the bill. Rooms are spacious some rooms even feature 2 bedrooms for the same price, equiped with a full size kitchen and separate living area with a balcony, the view is not great, neither is the neighbourhood at night. It is very well suited for long stays or if you are travelling with kids or relatives and is not as pricey as Rio os other touristic areas.
