“Functional business Hotel”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2013

Was not impressed with the check-in times. I arrived from a European flight around 7:30AM and was informed that I could not check-in until 2:00PM. Thankfully, after waiting for a couple of hours, a room became available. There are no really comfortable seats to wait in while a room is found for you.

The room was small, but comfortable and the WiFi was good. The bathroom was a little old. The fitness centre was great and I liked the fact that the running machines are on an external balcony overlooking the pool - it is nice not to have to train in aircon. The pool was good too, if a little chilly, although it would have been nice to be able to buy drinks and snacks at the poolside.

The breakfast buffet as good, and so was the lunch buffet. For the price, this Hotel did not seem good value. However as it was my first visit to Brazil I am not really able to offer any comparison.

Room Tip: Rooms on the lower floors are accessed from an internal passage that overlooks the lobby area, and t...

The hotel is situated next to the main streets of SP - Avenida Paulista & Rua Treze de Maio. Rooms are clean, quite big and quiet - it's not really common in Brazil. Bar downstairs serve great drinks and it's nice place to meet with your friends or clients. The only con was lack of the swimming pool.
A lot of great restaurants are stuated around the hotel (like this one on the other side of the street, I forget the name).

Stayed for a 4 day business trip, for the price its is very average, I booked a deluxe room, which definitely wasn't ! I complained and got moved to another room, but the only difference was a pair of slippers and dressing gown ! The bathrooms are small, and old, the internet was patchy at best. But, the food was good, nice buffet breakfast with lots of choice, and evening meal a la carte in the restaurant was excellent.

They are building opposite so it is very noisy during the day. Good location though close to bars and restaurants.

Room Tip: ask for a room at the back

Visited this hotel on a business trip. For this price, stay elsewhere. It's certainly not worth it for what you get.

Decently nice rooms, but they don't allow you to keep the room cool while you are gone, so you return to a hot room every evening and have to wait for the air conditioning to get going. No irons, so you have to either walk to a lavandaria, or pay insane prices for ironing by the laundry service. Concierge/front desk speaks fair to middling english.

Internet, which costs R$100 for your stay, is extremely slow and unreliable. Dropped connections, inability to even Gchat. It's a joke, and I've had better internet at youth hostels in São Paulo.

Stay somewhere else, you'll be happier.

The Good:
- Clean, bathroom shower was clean, hard wood floors, not an old carpet.
- Most staff spoke English, and were very courteous and friendly.
- Good gym. It had machines, free weights, numerous treadmills
- A lot of security guards.
- Location is great. Very close to numerous restaurants. 2 streets over is the giant mall.

The Bad:
- Major Construction next door (not the hotel's fault) - Construction noise starts early around 7 am. One night there was loud banging noise around 3 am.
- The kitchenette does not have any glasses, cups, plates or silverware. Only a mini bar fridge. Why have a kitchenette area if not going to supply these items.
- Internet is very slow, even when hard wired.

Bottom line, I would stay here again and would recommend to friends.

Room Tip: Try to get a room furthest from the construction next door.

Hotel is ok. Nothing out of this world but well located. Good restaurant and room is quite spacious. When I was there the restaurant was being refurbished so could not really enjoy all the food. Rooms are quite spacious. Bathrooms a bit small. Good for overnight stay or short stay.

Room Tip: higher floors not overlooking the main road - you can get the afternoon sun

I stayed here for a week while in town on business. The hotel has a nice lobby and the staff were (with one exception) very friendly and helpful.

The room was OK, not too small, and well kept up. The bed was comfortable.

There is currently a building being constructed right across the street. Since the trucks are not allowed in the city during daylight hours, this means a lot of construction materials are being unloaded in the middle of the night. This is very loud in your room if you are unlucky enough to have a room on the front of the building. My colleagues who had rooms at the back of the building were not disturbed. I expect this construction to last most of the year (its just getting started).

One wifi connection is offered for free with the room, but the speed is very sluggish. You can get your e-mail and such, but web surfing is often an exercise in patience. Also, they are serious about the one-per-room connection. The minute you connect with your tablet, your laptop gets booted off, and vice versa. If you have a number of wifi capable devices, you might consider bringing a portable router/hotspot.

There are no ironing boards or irons available to guests in the hotel. If you want to press your shirts you need to send them to the hotel laundry. Their turn around was actually better than the ETA given but I'd recommend a travel iron if your meeting schedule is tight after arrival.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back of the hotel are quieter.
