“Excellent place to stay”

We have stayed in Golden tulip paulista plaza hotel for three nights, it was excellent...very helpful staff, breakfast,safety. Even we have forget a huge amount of money in the hotel, we got it back with the help of the hotel staff, excellent job,very professional. Thank you for your support. Definitely recommended hotel and I will be back for the next stay.

This is a hotel that is doomed to be mediocre. This is my 5th or 6th time here and it has the same old issues.

- Breakfast is good, but not tremendous. If you go after 8:00 every table is dirty, cups are dirty, spoons look used
- Internet between 07h00 and 09h00 and 21h00 and 00h00 is a waste of time. I do recommend paying for a prepaid internet card, and do not plan for any Internet meeting at that time, unless you go to the lobby and buy internet from TIM, Vivo, or any other provider

- Room service is bad. Asked for a chicken sandwich with fries and it was terrible. They took almost 40 minutes to serve it and it was lousy

- TVs are tiny. Don't even try.

Not the best place I ever stayed in and probably not the worst - certainly average - the restaurant in particular wasn't great.
In a very convenient part of town however and safe too.
I would consider another place if I travel again.

I noticed that your evaluation about our hotel and service, did not work as good as we wish. We are working hard to delivering good product with high level of service, in order to keep good levels of guests' satisfaction. The location of the hotel is perfect but the hotel need maintenance en renew. The beds at very bad and old. We have a twinbed and roll to the middle all the time. They have to renewed. By complaining at the front desk only 1 guy takes it serious the rest only laugh. The breakfast is good! The pool is nice but need some renovation also.

About your comment regarding our Front Office Personnel, we took the necessary steps to correct and maintain the best standards of courtesy and professionalism. As a frequent guest in this hotel, I am used that not everything is perfect. However, the last time I was disappointed about many things.

- Breakfast starts at 6am, but the eggs and omelets only at 7am (I go normally for an early Business meeting or flight so I cannot enjoy this service)
- Japanese Restaurant works only from Monday to Friday
- They made an update in some fitness machine, but the Treadmill, Lifecycle and the Cross Trainer are so old and rusty, nothing to do with Golden Tulip Standard. By the way, these two or three workers in the Fitness Center are so unfriendly, not even welcome the guest, only on the internet playing and no support at all.
- When I arrived, they said no Internet or TV-Channels until 9.30mp
- The air-conditioning didn’t work for 2 Days in the restaurant, not for Breakfast, not Lunch or not for dinner
- We ordered on Monday night Japanese food, where the appetizer arrived after one hour, even after the Main course.
- The safe didn’t work
- The carpet inside the room and in the corridor was dirty and not even cleaned the other day
- The frames from the Windows/Veranda in the room are falling down
- In the minibar was missing products when I arrived
- The bed sheets had holes
- The towels in the bathroom were dirty
- The Air-Conditioning in the room was too noisy
- The cup in the room was dirty

The Golden Tulip offers every thing you want in a hotel including bar, restaurant, pool, gym, great location in the city. It sits amidst numerous sidewalk cafe's which provided great food and great drinks including the local beers. The local shopping district along Paulista Blvd. is only 1 block away and offers many opportunities for shopping for standard items as well as street vendors selling steamed corn with salt and butter to various types of hand crafted items including jewelry and art. I will certainly return to this hotel on my next visit to Brazil.

This property is an excellent choice if you need to stay close to Paulista Avenue. It's just a couple of blocks "downhill" from the avenue. The staff is excellent; very helpful and willing to answer questions. The dinner buffet has lots of choices and fresh salad items. Learning to use your room card for access to the elevators is somewhat of a surprise, but I managed.
