“Great value for money”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 December 2013

This 4* property is located in the elegant Jardins District. It has easy access to shops & restaurants. We had a brief stay in this hotel in two different occasions and found the area very safe and pleasant. The breakfast offers a decent variety of choices. The room is neat, spacious, almost with neutral decor but pleasant, good quality linen. The reception staff is well spoken in English. These young professionals have a good and welcoming attitude towards the guests and are happy to assist you with any enquiry. Well done Estanplaza Hotel.

Room Tip: Higher floors have a better panoramic view of the neighbourhood.

Stayed at this hotel whilst attending the Brazilian Grand Prix. It is about a 3 minute walk to the central shopping street in Sao Paulo, Avenida Paulista and about a 20 minute walk to the older part of the city and the Cathedral da Se. The hotel has rooms on 15 floors which have recently been refurbished to a good standard and the staff are helpful and pleasant.
Be warned though, that the City streets run up and down series of hills and the footpaths aren't great so walking everywhere can be treacherous. Because of its size the City locations are spread over a large area and taking a taxi may be easier.
I would happily recommend the hotel Estanplaza Paulista.

I have stayed in this hotel over 7 times in the past 5 years and have never regretted it. The rooms are very generous for the price point and the buffet breakfast never disappoints. It's walking distance to lots of sites (Avenida Paulista, MASP, Oscar Freire) as well as being close to hotels that go for 4 to 7 times the rate. Nice staff, even when we arrived at 2am.

The Estanplaza Paulista hotel is a good property with descent amenities, minimal wifi service and a good breakfast. Views & location to Trinon MASP metro and Paulista is fantastic. The hotel needs is better management and training which there is little discipline or efficiency as a hotel as it relates to guests.

Check-in and Check-out were not so good or smooth. Expect both to take a while as they are not prepared with the routine; upon returning later after check-in to be asked to do it again with no recognition of your arrival in regards to customer service was disappointing...similarly upon check out we'd been charged for a room upgrade offered to us by the same lad who gave it to us during check-in and he finally removed it from our bill/folio.

Maid service was ok but details in housekeeping were lacking...dust in the room/tidiness, etc... Loved the hotel's location but make sure you are after the staff as management is clearly not about the bigger picture in building/retaining customer service or clientele.

We've staid at the Estanplaza Paulista for a night lately. If you're looking for a commercial but comfortable Hotel with a complete and awesome breakfast, you have to pick this one. Is located between Paulista av. (Lots of metro stations), 10min walk from Haddock Lobo/Augusta e Frei Caneca and just a few blocs from the chic Oscar Freire. All walking distance in a very safe neighborhood. Some tips would be:

- Ask high floors with city view
- Do not let them led you to several check-ins/out (We have this problem since we arrived early and dropped the suit cases, checked-in and when we came back, they asked to check-in again)
- check and double check your bill on the way out. They always change the price from the price of booking (Cf. other reviews below).

The negative part is that the rooms were a little dusty, but sometimes it happens.

I recommend this Hotel for a business trip.

Room Tip: - Ask high floors with city view - Do not let them led you to several check-ins/out (We have this p...

The hotel staff were surprisingly attentive to us. There were 24 hungry pax in our tour group, who descended suddenly into their restaurant after 25 hours of flying and sick of airline food. It was late at night and past closing time, but the staff were polite as if it was their first day on the job. (In the past, we experienced poor service in non-Asian countries and treated like children because we look slightly young -- like teenagers although we are 40yrs old. We also experienced poor service from Brazil embassy in our country - very bad first impression given by their staff.)

The breakfast includes a Japanese section where sticky rice, miso soup and grilled salmon were welcome sight if you want a change from the usual American spread.

The hotel is located a few minutes walk to Paulista Ave and is surrounded by high-end apartments, so it looks safe to walk out at night on your own.

One of the basic business hotel in most safer zone in Sao Paulo. There are many nice restaurant in surrounding this hotel. The location is great and it is only few steps walk to Paulista street. Taxi is easily accessible in this area.
