Owner description: The emerald heart of an oftentimes gray city, São Paulo's Parque do Ibirapuera offers respite from the urban madness among cool, shady trees and mentally-stimulating structures. Running trails, bike paths, and yoga and capoeira sessions let locals and visitors alike keep fit, while a clutch of museums and galleries — such as the museums of Modern and Contemporary Art, all designed by master Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer — gives the brain a good workout. The impressive Museu Afro Brasil and fiery Auditório Ibirapuera are two of the park's treasures.

“Surprising sights”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014

Surprising sights, including city sight throw lakes, very good for sports (running, bike, football, basketball, voley), a lot of playgrounds and family lazy time.

“City refuge”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2014

Anyone who knows Sao Paulo will be fully aware that to find a modicum of peace and quiet in the city is about as likely as Table Tennis replacing football as the national sport. Parque Ibirapuera however, manages to offer a green space that despite being used by thousands each day, is large enough to accommodate anyone seeking a jog, cycle, skate, read or just a mingle. I always found it safe, clean and calming during my days in Sampa.

“Great city park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2014

If I lived in São Paulo, I'd go there as often as possible. Very secure and pleasant. An impressive view of the city from a distance, with the lake in the front.

A park to stroll, do some sports, drink some coconut water or just relax from the big big city surrounding it...

I loved this place. It's beautiful, easy to navigate and full of great people having a relaxing Sunday. I just wish I lived closer so I could go more often!
