“So beautiful and calm”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2014

Best place to sit and watch the beautiful trees. Also very safe, the police stand is at the entrance. Even some locals didn't know about this park!

“Amazon in the heart of busy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 March 2014 via mobile

Really a great place to escape to when you just want to sit and stare at a bit of nature. While walking on paulista avenue, which can get hectic, it seems to be a nice place to escape to. The flora is very plush and it does have a nice Amazonian jungle feel to it, which I welcome since I come from a city that doesn't allow their trees and plants to grow without being groomed constantly. This is truly a welcome piece of nature

“Green heart on Paulista Avenue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 March 2014

This is almost a little secret of this concrete city. Right on Paulista avenue, the busy, all-concrete symbol of this never-sleeping giant city is this small park. It is said to be the remnants of the original 'Mata Atlantica' forest. Projected by Paul Villon, a French landscape architect, the park opened to the public in 1892. Then the city grew around it...thankfully the park is a protected area and well maintained. It is a great option for a morning or afternoon walk. It is almost surreal, this miraculous green spot, but very welcome. There are famous sculptures (eg. 'The Faun' by Victor Brecheret), a small pond, two playgrounds for children and plenty of seats that dot the park. A great, and necessary, respite in this city.

“Perfect get away in a busy city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 March 2014

The park is very nice and a nice change from the busy streets around Av. Paulista. A good place to go and relax on a hot day. Grab a sandwich from a nearby vendor and enjoy it together with the local office workers.

“Must-visit natural setting in the middle of the city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 September 2013

I didn't expect to find such a picturesque park right in the middle of the business district; walking by the first few times I was a little hesitant to enter based on the heavily police presence at the entrance, but I later realized that that type of presence is normal on Paulista.

The park is filled with beautiful flora and sizeable trees, reminding me of what the area may have originally looked like. It reminded me of the luscious forests in Brazil, and I felt awed to find one so well preserved in the middle of the city.
