“This is what churrascaria is all about.”
Reviewed 28 May 2012

I was staying in the Hilton Morumbi. Below the hotel is a little shopping center which happens to have a Barbacoa restaurant. I had a meal there which was good but going to the Itaim location was completely different.
The salad selection is larger and the experience is better than any Brazilian churrascaria I've had.
The cuts of meat are what you expect and they don't stop. The service is excellent.

I was willing to break my diet for this place. Overall it's a great experience.

“Perfect meat and service”
Reviewed 28 May 2012

Excellent gril restaurant. If you like the brazilian drink "caipirinha" you must have one there. If you don´t know this drink, you MUST have one there...or many.

“Good service and food...but it's not Fogo”
Reviewed 1 May 2012 via mobile

Nothing bad against it, in of itself. Went to the Shopping Morumbi location (downstairs at the lower level restaurant row). The atmosphere, service, speed are all great, but perhaps:

- venue is a bit cramped: feels a bit tight, then the flow of waiters sometimes was sloppy.
- meat cuts options are less: you may get more options at Fogo (chicken hearts, more linguiza options).
- pao de queijo felt cold and not freshly baked, at the time of dinner. Devil is in the details.
- caipirinha felt too strong (trait of a cheaper brand of cachaça)

The salad bar, nonetheless, was very well assorted and good enough if you just want to eat that. Consider though that their menu has a "choice mix and match" option, meaning you can forgo the all you can eat option.

“One of the best”
Reviewed 29 April 2012

Repeat visit. Good service, very good meats and decent salad bar. As has been suggested: go easy on the salad bar to avoid getting too full for all the good stuff.

“Best Churrascaria”
Reviewed 27 April 2012

Barbacoa is one of those steak houses where they keep bringing you different cuts of meat as long as you have your marker turned to its green side. If you are done, or just need a breather...turn it to the red side. In addition, they have a salad bar with a great selection of tasty items that you could accidentally fill up on before you start taking the meats. I have been to many steakhouses of this type in Sao Paulo...some are much more popular in name...but this one is my favorite. The atmosphere is classier, the service is better, and the food is just as good. Each table has a small shelf with "supplies" that the server might need to take care of you. It makes a difference. As with all the churrascarias, avoid the desserts. They are not incuded in the price and they are expensive. My take is...if you have room for dessert, you have not eaten enough meat!!
