When travelling on the Rio - Santos road, there is a place must stop, is "praia do Felix", a kind of New Zealand beach, calm, quiet a truly paradise!

“Felix Beach,Ubatuba,Sao Paulo,Brazil”
Reviewed 20 February 2014

I have visited Felix Beach on 16th Feb,2014, the weather was rough but it was perfect for professional surfers but not recommended that day for swimming,, or SUP or fishing, just playing with the big waves even i saw some people fishing with sticks but it was just for fun and kids playing with the waves and all kind of people were enjoying that day. It was partly rain but not that much, was partly cloudy and sometimes overcast for not that long.

The most important before i forget, use always sun-protection cream more than 30 degrees protection and eat fruits and drink juices, because maybe the heat is not too much for me,its abt 25 to 35 the super hot season which is very rare here in Brazil as the locals told me because i am used to it abt 38 degrees in my place in Greece summertime, but here in Brazil its very strong the sun even its partly cloudy or even cloudy you get sun tent very easily, like in one day i got light dark red with light brown color skin and i am white during winter of Greece...

Anyway it was nice experience and the prices for locals not too much expensive but still it is , if you are foreigner like me a Greek, the prices are normal for that kind of almost virgin and clean place like Felix beach and famous in Sao Paulo region.

The roads are ok but near the cities and villages is rough with lots of slow-down speed bumps and that makes you to rent an SUV or a car that you dont care to damage it in some roads like these.

The road surveillance cameras are too many and you can see a lot of warning signs about it and also of looking out the pedestrians all over the place and bicyclers and when you are driving from Ubatuba, where i was staying in a cheap rental villa, a lot of bicyclers are in the streets but you have to be careful, because once you are on foot , and you are just a pedestrian the cars dont care about you (the locals not the foreigners) as much i saw till now , and the same thing is here in Sao Paulo, downtown .

Finally you have to be careful with your staff, not to wear expensive cloths or accessories because you are a target everywhere in Brazil, and if you talk good Portuguese you are in good way and feel more comfortable , but the people understand that you are not Brazilian and in local market where the prices are not posted you can very easily pay more that it was supposed to , and this is for all places here in Brazil and i believe everywhere is true cause i have been in many countries.
Finally i am here still on vacations in Brazil, at Sao Paulo downtown and will share my experiences in the future, and awaiting the day i will visit Rio .

So keep on traveling and share the truth only , even it hurts but at least wont hurt more people who never travel to those places , always a life experience advice is better than seating on my sofa and just reading the theory of the tourism !

Thanks for reading !

Good for kids, clean, beautiful, top beach for my standards. No construction polluting the view, nice beach appetizers, only you have to pay to park the car.
