The hotel is fair to middling. It was much enlivened by the enchanting presence of the Bovorets Billionaire, a local dignitary with a formidable and possibly undeserved reputation. He his held in high regard by the local dancing ladies for his passionate and vocal support, and frequent patronage, of their industry. He really is the feather in the Iceberg's cap.

The multivitamin juice in the breakfast buffet was tolerable.

I was here on a teambuilding event and I left the hotel with mixed feelings.

My first impression was very good - nice looking hotel, good location. We also had lunch and even if it was not the best restaurant ever to find in a hotel, the food was decent.

After that we decided to try the spa and games. First negative impression was that all had to be paid separately (no "wet area" or "games area" pass) except for the indoor pool, which was free.

We still wanted to play eight-ball so decided to go for it. It turned out that (1) the table's mechanism didn't work and we had to wait for a person from the lobby bar to come each new game to "reset" the table and (2) the walls were so close that it was almost impossible to make a normal shot from the right side and part of the left side of the table.

Later when we went to the restaurant at dinner time it tuner out that the hotel has booked 2 team building events and thus we were so many that it was very difficult to get in or out, there was no place to dance and it was as loud as a public kitchen. The good thing was that the food was better than at lunch time.

After dinner we went to the disco bar which was a nice addition to the hotel with access directly from the lobby. It was all fine until they allowed smoking which (1) is against the law as it is not outside and (2) reminded us of how one smells of cigarettes after going to a club… a long forgotten memory until that night.

Back in the room things didn’t get much better… we realized there was no perfect solution as to size and comfort. The furniture was cheap build-it-yourself kind of style. My room had a 17” CRT TV and no minibar. A colleague on the other hand had a big fridge but a 14” CRT TV. The signal quality was also below average. The shower cabin was leaking, the towels were crying for change and one of the walls was in need of a big makeover.

Overall it wasn’t all bad, but for a 4 star hotel there is much more to wish for.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south have a view of the street and the ones on the north look at trees.

I stayed in the hotel for my birthday last year. The hotel is very comfortable and clean. We were accommodated in their V.I.P. floor and it was very nice. The breakfast was little bit poor, but I enjoyed the dinner.
I didn't enjoyed the fact that the fitness was only for men.

Room Tip: The rooms are comfortable and quite

I was there with my girfriend for a couple of days and we both enjoyed our stay. The room was great, spacious and with a nice view. Clean as well. The staff was polite and friendly (I read a few negative comments about the staff and I was a bit reserved at first). The swimming pool is pretty small but cozy. There is a nice bar next to it. The thing that bothered us a bit was the food. And not the quality of it but the variety. Not enough options to choose between. Still very tasty though :-) We paid a low price and received quite a lot for it. So, I would rate our stay 4 out of 5, just because of the small choice of food :-)

Rooms OK but in need of some TLC (loose fixings and torn towels etc) and have seen better days but has some of the rudest staff I have ever met in a hotel. Guests are considered a total inconvenience. We were told that dinner was 6:30 to 8:00 so arrived to dine at 7:20 only to find that most of the food was gone leaving virtually no choice and to make matters worse what was there was removed ten minutes or so later to put out a whole new lot which we were forbidden to eat as it was reserved for a Bulgarian Football Team who were coming to eat at 8:00. Breakfast was not much better.
Avoid this hotel if you can. As said before staff were terrible and offensive (normally everyone in Bulgaria is friendly and helpful. This was the exception.

Room Tip: Recommend avoid staying here

Dont understand the bad reviews. Staff were not amazingly friendly but they were not rude. The rooms were huge and clean. The pool and pool bar were great and the price for the stay was extremely cheap.
