Hotel is on great location, has small parking, rooms are clean and warm with excellent fireplace at the lobby bar. Super forest view from our window. The main ski run is just in 100 meters of our hotel. Restaurant cheap, with excellent food and extra discount for the guests. Staff is very kind and friendly! Great value for the money! Thank you to Vanya (receptionist) she was so helpful.

We booked the Ibar on Booking .com and it was cheap, but not the cheapest and went for a suite for four people and the bed and breakfast option. This was a goo enough for four blokesd move as the breakfast was pretty good and hot. We were offered a half board by the lady who runs it but declined because we prefer to try other restaurants in town. Ironically the food here was the tastiest and very cheap. Thanks George.
The room we had was plenty large enough for four blokes on the pop all week. The only downside was the lack of furnishings so there was a loud echo and the bed sheets didn't fit properley. A bit petty I know.
The hotel is a two minute walk to the nearest lift so location is brilliant. The town is a further two minutes walk away so there is no need for buses or taxis.
If you are used to Alpine skiing then this is somewhat different. Be assured there is some good skiing but nothing off piste. The restaurants are a bit low in quality but its all so social.
This was my first time to Bulgaria so I had no expectations but a lot of doubts. Unfortunateley our week was one where only a couple of lifts were open and four decent runs were accesible because of a lack of snow. everyone we spoke to had been there before and said this never happens and that it is normally brilliant. It did look good though from the top of the gondola. The town oozes tack! There are bars, restaurants, shops and hotels everywhere.. Some were better than others. The bars I liked are the Derby[ look out for Geogeous George] and the Golden Horn.
We had ski school which was good for some and bad for others. They start at ten am and finish around 3pm withlunch inbetween. There is a get together on the last night so if there is a good group with a good instructor it is great.
If you want to ski with Emily and Georgina go to Austria. If you prefer Shaz and Chantelle then this is for you and remember the beer is cheap and free shots.

Don't let the austere photo put you off!
This hotel is not the best decorated, but comfortable for the price, and with some nice extras, such as a communal lounge, with pool table and other games, and even a sauna somewhere,
Room 1-2 comfortably holds four grown men, beds are comfortable and there is a lounge area and kitchenette.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfasts are above average and great for the price, as is the hotel restaurant, where we have eaten three times, and where the food is as good as anything else we have found in Borovets.
Ski room is adequate (if I'm being picky, a little small) And it's a short walk to the nearest ski lifts (50 meters or so, and about 150 meters to main nursery area).
If I come back again, I would not consider any other hotels in Borovets now.
(Pls ignore score for fitness centre .. There isn't one, but I can't remove it now!!)

Room tip: Very happy with rooms 1-2 which fits four adults comfortably, and would be a great family room as well.
