Such a visual treat for the senses - a Burmese cat sanctuary; an art show and small shop; a school for catering students, and a wonderful restaurant on beautiful terraces.

We stopped here for lunch during our day of being taken round the Lake by boat. A perfect stopping off point, we had a table overlooking the water, and although we only had a main meal (meat balls with noodles) it was very tasty, and perfect for a light lunch. Very reasonable prices, and lovely staff.

We had a great lunch here our first afternoon on Inle Lake. The local food was delicious and so fresh. The staff was great and very attentive. But the kids loved visiting with the cats that was a special treat.

as with most places accessible via the longtail boats and fabulous gardens to walk through as you approach the restaurant. This is a training site for local staff and are doing a great job. the Let Thoke (tea leaf salad) is amazing and one of the best priced dishes on the menu. If you want to see and interact with the cats you need to plan your visit as they all sleep in the massive cages or are off on the inaccessible mini island after lunch - so we just had to sit back and take in the views and watch the other boats go by - which wasnt a bad way to while away an hour or so on a hot afternoon.

Great food experience. The nearest you can have to Burmese Gourmet. Really great service and ambiance. You can seat outside on a great veranda overlooking the canals of the lake having your lunch. Try the Tomato Salat and the Tea Leaf Salat. They also have great banana cakes as desert. Very clean and prober in a fantastically built tick-wood-house. Ask them after lunch to show you the collection of Burmese Cats they have.
