Very nice location for sightseeing to those places around Inle lake. The sunset view from the resort is beautiful. Choose the terrace outside instead of the view tower, but bring your mosquito spray with. Rooms is basic, wooden floor, don't really need the outdated TV. Rooms facing the view tower is a bit dark. Should choose the other side instead. The bathroom is a bit dissapointed, small hand basin. Changing the type of light in the bathroom will also helpful.

The restaurant serves very good food, especially the steamed fish with lime. The fried rice with pineable is simple but special. Tomato which is from the area brings you back to the most original taste of "real tomato". You don't have to think of anywhere else to go for dinner and while it's not convenient at all to move around in the dark in the middle of the lake.

Could be nicer with a bit of music at the lobby, especially in the evening time. There are comfy sofas.

Thanks to the hotel manager, who is always there to answer all of your questions and very helpful.

Lovely view of the lake, especially during sunset. Lovely location. Wonderful hotel staff. F & B outlet is a big disappointment though and staff are not as hospitable as those at the front desk. The room is gloomy, dark and poorly lit and run down. Wifi is non existent even though they claimed ''free wifi'', The whole place is full of mosquitoes and they could have done something about it. Bring your own repellent. The lovely location does not justify the exorbitant price it charges - for food and for room charge.

We stayed in the Paramount Inle Resort for two nights during our (first) trip to Myanmar and it was the nicest accomodation we had during our journey. One of the reasons for this was the incredible hospitality and cordiality of the hotel manager.
"Dear Mrs. Kin Po, thank you so much again for all your help and great efforts regarding our flight ticket change from Heho to Bagan! It all went well and due to your help we could spend an additional beautiful day in Bagan! We are now back in Germany and wish you all the best!!"
The had one of the bungalows on stilts and the room was very spacious, lovely decorated, absolutely clean, with a nice bathroom and a veranda with two deck chairs. There were lovely details such as a fruit plate as a welcome present, shoes for use in the room and the preparation of the bed for the night with a huge mosquito net.
We cannot understand that people complain about the boat noise during the morning hours. Well, if you chose a hotel on stilts located directly on the lake, you may reckon that boats are passing. That is typical for the area and for us it was a nice sound and when we woke up early we were looking forward to our own boat trip, got up and had an early breakfast. You can also use ear plugs which are provided by the hotel. So there is nothing to complain about.
The food in the restaurant was good, but nothing special. We only found about 2 - 3 real Myanmar style dishes. But nevertheless the food was tasty....and admittedly we are a bit "special" concerning this matter, as we always would like to eat local food together with locals. But of course we knew that in this location it would be a bit difficult.
We would definately return to this wonderful place. Thanks again for a great experience!

Room Tip: Chose a Deluxe Bungalow, they are lovely!

We stayed here for two night, chosing to change our tickets to get back to Yangon earlier. This was because you need a boat to leave the resort as it is actually on the lake. Beautiful sunset from the balcony was gorgeous but if you only have a short time to spend in Myanmar you probably want t be able to explore more!
The staff at this hotel were SO helpful in changing our flight and organizing transport. We really were impressed with ho lovely they were to us!

I spent two nights in the row of adjoining rooms rather than the detached bungalows. I had read about the noisy boats waking you up - day one the first was at 5am and day two a bit later, but the big one-stroke Chinese engines on the boats mean that any light sleeper will be awake in any lake-based hotel with a major boat route outside like this. Day two, a group of european tourists arrived and I am not sure why, but the people in the next door room got up before 5am, and I could hear every zip opening, every cough and footstep. the rooms are made of lovely teak boards but these are not ideal for acoustics! I don't think that any of the detached rooms would help much with boat noise, and the sunrise is very photogenic!
The staff were excellent, the food and restaurant very good as well, and overall I really enjoyed my stay. Perhaps ear plugs and being realistic that if you stay on the lake you get lake noise.

We were on a 12 day Smartour's tour of Myanmar and spent 2 nights at the Paramount Inle Resort. The "resort" didn't offer a lot of luxury amenities, but it was a welcomed rest stop to recharge from all the traveling. Our rooms were individual hutches built on stilts over the water. In the evenings we sat on our porches watching the sunset. Beautiful.

At night the staff would put down the mosquito netting around our beds. I'm not sure we needed them because I wasn't bothered by mosquitoes, but they were nice to have anyway.

Staying there gave us access to tour Inle Lake on the longboats. Touring some of the 17 villages built on stilts was fabulous. Seeing the floating gardens, the local crafts, and the people going about their daily activities was great.

One negative comment would be to expect early morning boat traffic. You wouldn't expect them to be riding their boats around when it's still dark without lights, but they do.

We spent one night in town and then headed out here for two nights. On the first day we took a day trip by boat from town and they then dropped us at the hotel as it's in the middle of the lake. The boat man then picked us up the next day for a second trip. 2 nights is enough. After 5 there's nothing else to do but have a sunset drink, eat and sleep. Food at hotel is good and staff are friendly.
