I stayed at Paramount Inle Resort for 2 nights. the staff were brilliant. They were always very helpful and just lovely in general. They go the extra mile to ensure your stay is enjoyable .The restaurant serves good food and is open long hours. compared to other hotels in Myanmar, the price is very good.

40 minutes by rooster tailed boat to get here but worth it. This resort has little cabins over the lake itself. Ours had air con and a fan. You can almost feel the gentle swaying of the piers as boats pass by. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. As in most of Myanmar, the beds were a little too firm but the serenity at night was lovely. Staff come in and turn down the bed, unfold the mosquito netting over your bed and spray the room with insect repellent prior to you retiring for the night. (It IS on a lake so insects are about). Complimentary bottled water is supplied(as in all of Myanmar where we stayed). Restaurant is quite good with big variety, although they were out of some things. Can recommended pancake for dessert if you can fit it in. Breakfast is very good.
Wifi is intermittent and very slow though, so don't expect to be on Facebook or Internet too much. Eating out at restaurants at lunch, you need to travel by boat of course, but dinner is at resort because boats stop after dark. Sit and enjoy drinks and nibbles from the deck either from your cabin or near restaurant, as the sunsets are absolutely stunning. Lots of little boat trips to see how locals weave lotus fibres, and make silver items and many more interesting industry around the lake. Recommended to anyone who wants a different experience to the bustle of bigger cities.

Room Tip: Front Lakeside facing is a must. We had room 210.

I have read other peoples reviews and I can only imagine they had the huts which I'm assuming were amazing as I stayed in the superior teak rooms and they were dreadful.

Very poor quality. Superior rooms was falling apart. Avoid rm 114. Holes in the netting and ceiling in both bedroom and bathroom, all handles in the bathroom snapped off. All other guests got welcome drinks, I was just handed a key. I didn't even know there was a pagoda/tower as part if the hotel for a viewing platform until the last day when I had to hunt around to find the staff to give them my key.

The hotel is a good 45 mins boat ride away which costs you an additional $12-16 each way which I was not aware of so add that to your total as well.

There was maintenance going on when I was there also so lots of drilling and banging which I had to call reception three times to ask them to stop which is not what I expected from a hotel that markets itself on peace and tranquility.

The rooms are paper thin so you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbour does too!

I would advise people to choose an alternative. There is nothing amazing about the 'amazing' hotel chain (I stayed at the bagan one too and that was also dreadful). This hotel is definitely not worth the money they ask for it.

It's a pretty location but a pain to get to and it's in a terrible condition....is say a 2 star for the condition of the hotel and a 3 star for the view..,. No higher.

After an hour's drive from Heho airport to a jetty point, we took a boat (motorised) to the hotel. It took us an hour through the breathtaking waters.
The hotel is a mix of cottages on water and rooms. Food, ambience and staff are very good. Would highly recommend this place. The views from the room are breathtaking. You can take a trip on the boat to weaving centres, cat monastery and pagodas. Its a non-commercial Venice with virgin natural and green beauty.

Good Service. Average overlake location. but standard room does not have a good lake view.

Staff are very friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious. Good food but pricy. Nearer to pagoda. Private boat charges are high. Inle is Recommended for honeymoon destinaation.

I stayed here for one night on a boat trip on Inle Lake, in one of the Superior Teak rooms (50 € via agoda.com), one of the cheaper places on the Lake. The rooms are a bit on the small side, with nice wood panelling and verandas (which are in need of new paint) we well as small, but clean bathrooms with bathtubs (no separate shower).

The location on the lake affords you amazing sunsets which are best be enjoyed from the observation tower with a Gin and Tonic from the restaurant (4 $). The resort is located on a busy "main road" for boats, so it can get noisy as early as 5 am. Also, after a day or two, it will get rather boring. Transfer from Nyaungshwe (round trip) should set you back no more than 15,000 Kyat.

The restaurant was nice, with exceptional service - they prepared a table outside especially for me (reserved on my room) and reserved it for me for breakfast as well.

The place is popular with groups, which tend to decend for a day or two at a time. If there is a group, they might have a special Myanmar folklore show, which is kind of cute.

If you can, you should fork out the 20 $ or so more for the detached cottages on stilts, which are overall better value (and have nicer views of the lake, as they are located on the north side, facing west and east, while superior rooms face south and north). They have WiFi, but you needn't bother, as the connection never works. Massages were sadly not available when I was there.

Stayed here for only one night on a whirlwind visit to this beautiful country and Inle Lake is amazing! The whole experience getting there by boat and everything about it will be a treasured memory. I thought this hotel was a great place to stay with cosy rooms that have a rustic sort of charm, like wooden floors and yellow painted doors onto the outdoor balcony. We didn't really care about the mod cons.... TV and Wi-Fi exist but we didn't bother. The restaurant food was pleasant but nothing outstanding. I loved the lake and Myanmar in general!
