“Great service all around!”
Reviewed 21 July 2013

verything is beautiful, virtually everything is well planned and executed, and the service is great without being obtrusive. The staff were remarkable. They appeared when you needed them but otherwise kept a polite distance. From the time the front desk checked us in until the time we left everything was simply amazing. The room was so wonderful! I absolutely loved that! Housekeeping was fantastic!

As other reviewers have mentioned there are apparently two Paradise Hotels in the Inle Lake area; I'm writing about the one in the town of Nyaungshwe.

I found this to be a serviceable midrange place to stay. Clean and quiet. No Wifi but the AC works. Reasonable location near the market and not too far from the jetty where the boats leave from. Not sure, but as it's not right by the water, it's possible that mosquitoes may be less of an issue here than elsewhere; I didn't have any trouble with mosquitoes but my friends who stayed at a place by the jetty got some bites.

Originally booked for 1 night, extended our stay to 7 nights. Really enjoyed ourvisit here, the room was clean, large with cable Television. Enjoyed the outside patio and the little garden area is well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, a few minutes to the market and about 10 minutes walk to the boat launching site. Just a street away from the Hotel is a new little family owned restaurant “Thanakha Garden Restaurant” well worth a visit, the food is fresh and prepared with great care by Swe Swe. The only negative I have about the Hotel is their limited breakfast on offer and that they do not have WIFI. Booked to visit here again in September.

This hotel is in Nyaungshe where the boats leave for Inle Lake so please be careful not to confuse with one on lake, which a lot of photos and reviews are for. The Pardise is a basic hotel with accom in chalets. The room we had D4 was quite small but clean and with everything we needed and all chalets had a large outdoor area with chairs to relax in and enjoy a drink. We only stayed one night as it shortened the trip to the airport and although we had an early start staff were more than happy to ensure we had breakfast before we left. Happy to recommend.

The only way to get to the hotel is on a boat - and tells it all. It's a lovely experience, however, in case you're looking for a fun place to stay, I'd say limit your stay to 1 night only... as there's absolutely nothing to do and they closed the restaurant/bar at around 10pm...
Other posts are quite accurate in describing what the rooms/chalets look like. They are quite tired-looking these days, plus a lot of us complained about having a "neighbour" in the form of either a pigeon (hopefully) or some other animal that would constantly make noise in the roof area.
Working wifi, but only in the reception/restaurant areas - plus they shut it in the evenings.
Note that there is no a/c, however even during April the area was bearable temperature-wise (at least at night) and I had no problem at all.

A nice hotel just in the right place, 3 minutes walk to the market, 10 minutes to the boats. The hotel is quietly located with many restaurants close by. Bikes are for rent so feel free to explore. Also the hotel can organize a day trip on a long boat around Inle Lake. With 8 sights it's about 30$. Our boat driver was very nice and showed us so many wonderful and beautiful places, stopping so that we could take great pictures.
Rooms are specious with TV, also warm water is available as it can get cool during winter. No WiFi but computers are available for 2$ per hour with internet access. Breakfast included although not a buffet one,so choice of eggs and fruit.
I liked this hotel, with the city alive I preferred to stay in town rather then on the lake where at night it can get boring.

We arrived here by boat from the mainland and were given a good welcome by the staff. Our rooms were all chalets built on stilts in the water on the edge of the lake. More teak rooms, so a bit dark once inside. You walk in from a balcony with a table and chairs over looking the lake. Once inside you have to hunt for the light switches, which we found hidden behind a small boxes on the walls. Found l had 8 of these around the chalet. The lounge area is lighter, but you need to keep your material blinds down, or you can see the people either side of you, l had about 9 of these. A large bedroom with a canopied bed for the mossies. I found this too claustrophic, so strung it up. The bedroom area is quite dark, with air con, but nothing in the lounge area which is closed off with a door.Lounge has table and chairs, plus the fridge and looks out over the lake. The bathroom is quite dark. Its a very spacious chalet. After having the bed turned down by the boys who came in they also turned on more lights, l had a job finding all the switches to turn them off at bedtime.Quite dark in the grounds to get to the restaurant
lighting could be better, but they provide you with torches. No aircon in the restaurant, but you can have BF outside.Food was good. Internet OK. You can walk up to the village from here, it takes about 30 min's. ON paying the bill, they only take $ or their 'chats'. Loved the fact that all trips out from here were by boat, this was the best stay on my tour.
