“Lovely cooking class for only MMK 15.000 ($15)”
Reviewed 2 September 2014 via mobile

We did the afternoon cooking class with Leslie and Sue who both speak very good English starting at 5pm and taking about 3 hours and can highly recommend to do it when you are in Nyaungshwe.

We called just a few hours ahead and asked if we could join the class which was no problem. The place was a bit difficult to find for us, I uploaded a picture of the location on Google maps.

The cooking class itself was really nice, we were the only two customers and could adjust the menu to our wishes (we made a low carb version and skipped ingredients we don't like so much). In total we prepared 5 dishes (beef curry, vegetable curry, eggplant salad, tomato salad and ginger salad) which were all. delicious. Additionally we got some crackers with peanut sauce as a starter and fruits for desert. Tea and water was provided as well and I think we could have alcoholic drinks which we didn't want.

After finishing the class we got one little gift bag each including spices.

All in all we can only recommend the cooking class, Sue and Leslie are lovely people and speak great English. The value for the money paid is excellent as well.

“Amazing home cooked dinner with lovely people”
Reviewed 24 August 2014

We were not able to take the cooking class, but a great alternative is the home cooked meal they make for you. It was $10 per person (drinks included- Leslie makes great cocktails) and it was scrumptious! Leslie and Sue invite you to eat at their house and they prepare six amazing dishes, each one tastier than the last. It was the best food we had in Burma! An added extra, they are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. They make you feel like family. Such a wonderful experience!

“Amazing morning with incredibly friendly hosts”
Reviewed 24 August 2014 via mobile

My sister and I loved this cooking class. It was one of our favourite activities during our stay in Myanmar even though neither of us are big cooks. Lesly and Sue are lovely people who are very friendly. They were incredibly nice to us. They welcomed us into their home and beautiful garden. The food was delicious. They taught us a lot about cooking and the culture of the people who live in the area. They even give you lovely gift bags with spices at the end. I would highly recommend this activity. Thanks Lesly and Sue!

“Great activity, the best in Nyaung Shwe”
Reviewed 28 July 2014 via mobile

As a family in the same hotel told us this was a fun activity, we decided to do the afternoon session. And fun it was, it was like a warm bath. We were welcomed by Sue and Wesley in a scenic place. It felt as if they were family. We prepared the food together with our family (total 5 persons between the age of 9 and 50) under the control of Wesley. The food was delicious, everybody made something and we had a lot of fun!! We would certainly recommend every body to do this fantastic activity.
