This guest house was supposedly okay for USD15 (please negotiate- the lady would initially offer you around USD20-25) per room per night with breakfast.
I arrived around 4AM in the hotel- from the bus station where many of the local tuktuk drivers would offer their service to bring you to guest houses. I was pretty sure that they get commission, so expect not that they would bring you to the reasonable guest house.
Upon arrival and after negotiation to room rate, I took a little sleep and took my breakfast and did my itinerary for the day
To make the story short, during my check-out- I was surprised that I was charged of 1 night for the next day (4AM arrival). This surprised me and caught off-guarded because I have limited cash then due to the absence of ATMs and this was the last leg of my Myanmar trip.
The rate was, well pretty reasonable, but with my budgeting that time..it was not that practical.
My point was, The Lady should inform their guest ahead before letting him/her to check-in their guest house policy.
I could have spend an hour or 2 of having my early breakfast or coffee to save me from 1 night charged!
