“A clean Budget Hotel”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 February 2013

We stayed here for 3 nights, as part of a tour group. I don't know what rate the travel agency got but I certainly hope it was a very good! It is a big hotel but very basic and tired. The rooms were clean and breakfast is adequate. The swimming pool is OK but the gym isn't worth using as it isn't maintained or air conditioned. We found the rooms noisey at night, mainly due to the wide and echoing corridors. The staff were friendly. There is no bar in the hotel - a vending machine selling soft drinks and water in Reception. However, the local university runs a little restaurant adjoining the hotel which is dirt cheap and good (even if a little like the school canteen). But students provide traditional live music which is very pleasant.

Our room overlooked the petrol garage - not pleasant and noisy. Make sure you are overlooking the pool as this is at the opposite side of the hotel.

Don't use the laundry service - cheap it may but the results were poor.

If you have a few bob more then find a different hotel - have a loot at the Villa Hotel. We had a meal and drinks there and it looked lovely. But don't know what the rates are like.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool are quieter. Try the university restaurant next door for a cheap but go...

We stayed 3 nights at the this hotel and quite liked it. The a/c rooms are big and clean and the breakfast is okay. The pool is very welcome after a hot day in town, which is within walking distance. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can not expect much more for this rate.

Room Tip: Upstair rooms are not as more quiet

This hotel is an imposing Chinese-style building with a cavernous two story lobby. Rooms are simple and bit worn, but clean. The bathroom has a shower over tub which keeps the floor dry and gives you the option to soak or shower. Breakfast was included and consisted of several Khmer dishes as well as eggs and toast. Same thing every morning, I suspect.

There is a swimming pool on the second floor with outdoor showers and towels.

Location is not great. It's about a 10 minute walk to the center of town, which I didn't mind. However, be prepared for a dawn wake up thanks to highly amplified Muslim prayer singing/talking nearby. This goes on most of the day!

The staff was very helpful with booking transportation and local events. Should you choose to stay here, talk to Mony at the front desk. Her English is pretty good and she was so kind to us.

Simply the best value for money in Cambodia. Great facilities: swimming pool, always clean and good size; dining: breakfast has good range and quality, proximity; close to everything: walking distance to middle of city.

Rooms are well appointed and everything works. Quiet location (for Cambodia).

Only drawback is that the fitness centre equipment is not maintained.

Enjoy.

Room Tip: Go high for the views.

I was on an organised tour of Thailand- Cambodia- Vietnam. This hotel was used as a 1 night stopover. If you are on a similar tour, be warned. Imagine my horror when, as I repacked my overnight bag, a mouse jumped out! My horror was intensified when I discovered that the rodent must have been in there for hours as it had shredded paper wrapper and nested in the front of my bag. I would never have eaten breakfast there if I had discovered this first. Close examination of the reception revealed a carpet covered with droppings. I have informed the tour company in the hope that other tours will not stay here but if you do be prepared.

Good hotel. Big rooms, AC worked for me, clean, staff helpful.
My perspective: a very good value for money at 25$ per room.
A 10 mn walk to the center of Battambang along the river, 5 minute walk from the bus station(s)

OK, the breakfast is not that great, management could improve but they do prepare eggs for you as you wish. The cereals are a bit of a disaster, the fruits good.

Just like a Russian Hotel in Cambodia, breakfast limited, Internet didn't work in the room, Rooms hot because the air con was not maintained, shower head adjustment didn't work. Pool water quality poor and service non existence. Overall rating poor, the owners need to visit and stay in Siem Reap and understand how a true international hotel attracts visitors. Glad to say goodby
