We spent two nights here. We had a free collection by tuk-tuk from the boat arriving from Siem Reap and enjoyed the boutique style of the hotel. Excellent pool, comfortable rooms (we were pool side) and attentive service who organised our taxi to PP for US$65. Breakfast could have been better as the small amount of fruit was chargeable at a premium which is rediculous given the quantity of fresh fruit freely available in the market. Sadly the sun disappears from the pool after 1300hrs as the adjoining hotel is built on the South/south western aspect.

We stayed two days in La Villa, Battambang, What a beautiful place! Very smart, clean and comfortable place in the center of the town, excelent price/quality ratio, good food at the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and competent; in particular Daly helped us to book the transfer to Phnom Penh providing for a comfortable travel. And Madame Corinne a wonderful Lady of the house!

Stay at La Villa during CNY. My family and I used room N°4 on the first floor. The room is huge and nicely decorated with interesting furniture. The tiles are fantastic, it's like being back in time.
The staff is (try to be) helpful but as we arrive around noon, the person in charge was only able to give us our room and nothing more.
After lunch, we had the opportunity to meet with one english speaking young man who help us in organising a tuk tuk to the main attraction and also to organise our taxi transfer to PP.
The tuk tuk tour was charged 15 USD (you can probably get it for 12 or even 10 in town) and the taxi transfer cost 65 USD (it takes 4h30).
The most disappointing element of this great place was the breakfast, and there is huge room for improvement :
1/ Coffee is made local and quite horrible. Moreover, it was served barely lukewarm
2/ I guess the bread was not fresh as it has been placed in the hoven minutes before being served. The viennoisserie were quite average too.
3/ Should you need any fruit, pay 2.5 USD in extra. This is a shame when you know the price of watermelon and banana on the local market.

If you really want to enjoy the place, make sure you stay in the main building and not in the annex.

It's a pity that La Villa is now surrended by chinese style business hotel running their karaoke from 7.00 till 23.00

Lovely villa restored with wonderful vignettes of an earlier time. Whether the rooms in the addition which are more reasonable or the superior rooms in the main house attentions to detail are in evidence everywhere. The restaurant is a bonus and the staff who looked after us were superb.the manager. Corrine, is fabulous bringing energy and vitality to her job.she is aided and followed by a temple puppy who keeps staff and guests in line !

Room Tip: Treat yourself to a room in the original building...you deserve it don't you?

Time seems to stand still in this fabulous place, truly hard to find somewhere else. It is like staying in an old country inn in France somewhere in the 1950s or 60s. There are the fabulous floor tiles, the windows and shutters and all the other tastefully restored details of this formerly private residence. The breakfast is very nice, so are the pool, the historic bar and the patio. Make friends with the intelligent doggie, Bayon, he is the boss. Some minor flaw does exist: The internet doesn't work flawlessly and is more off, then on. If you are more into staying at the gaudy (as in tasteless) new hotels in the neighborhood, The Villa isn't for you. Otherwise: Very recommended.

Room Tip: I stayed in Room 2. It located next to the restaurant and front desk; if somebody checks out early, your night will be over. It also doesn't have a view.
