A small complex of Adobe apartments off the reception area. The room was spacious, clean and tidy though it tended to retain the heat. The supplied fan was a real necessity if a little noisy. The small pool area was overlooked by a sun terrace opposite the breakfast and restaurant area. The view from the terrace across the rooftops was typically S American - satellite dishes, cables and the like. The pool was refreshing and welcoming to cool off in, albeit quite compact. People have commented on the variable wifi signal, we had no problem and if we had then a 20 metre walk to the public area to connect was hardly demanding. We were here 3 nights. The hotel is in a quiet street just round the corner from the main drag of San Pedro so is ideally placed. The packed breakfast supplied on request for any excursion starting between 4 and 7 am was substantial. Only possible criticism was that the room was quite dark, nothing a lick of a lighter colour (than brown) wouldn't cure.

Lovely hotel in a quiet part of town. Excellent rooms, beds very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Helpful staff and a good breakfast offering. I'd recommend it.

The only thing that I would say which is slightly negative is that although we picked it because it had a pool, the pool was so cold there was no way anyone could swim in it and on reflection (and having been there and spoken to a few locals) I now question the ethics of having a pool in a hotel situated in the driest place on earth. It would just make me think about staying again.

Enjoyed 4 days here in March 2014. Staff is friendly, and some desk staff do speak some English and Portuguese. Very relaxing place, with no TV's to distract, and the little adobe rooms (sort of like cottages, some with their own porches) are charming. Biggest negative is that the rooms don't cool down easily - but with minimal bedding and leaving the bathroom window open I was able to sleep comfortably (bed was nice). They should probably add additional ventilation in these rooms. There were not enough power outlets in the room - really only one you're supposed to use, so I ended up unplugging some lamps. But wow, the pool is gorgeous. The restaurant on site is quite good and lovely setting. You can walk less than one block and be on the main street of San Pedro. Wifi only works in pool/lobby/and restaurant areas. Note: there is an internet cafe less than one block away where you can print out boarding passes, etc for very little money. Ideal spot for introduction to San Pedro - enjoyed my time there.

Enjoyed the individual huts in this very hot climate. Rooms very eco friendly, which was nice after the busy time in Santiago. Hotel bar and restaurant were on the opposite side of the road, but it did not matter. After chilling on the veranda whilst writing a my journal and nice stroll for a pisco sour was not a problem. Little pool at the end of the huts too if you want to cool off in the afternoon sun. Basic, but enjoyable.

Room Tip: No air conditioning, but fans available in the rooms. I'd stay not in the main hotel.

The lady at the reception was most unfriendly. The room was small and gloomy. The toilet didn't work and no hot shower water. We called the reception to have it sorted out but nothing ever happened. The water in the swimming pool was so cold that you could only put a toe in it. The first meal in the restaurant was excellent, but the second meal we had was almost uneatable.

Room Tip: I wouldn't choose any room there

Dear guests,
I am really very concerned at the contents of your complaint and would have been interested to know the name of the recepcionist in question since we have 5 rotating shifts. It would also be helpful to know your room number since we have a full maintenance team working 24 hours to resolve immediately any such problems as you seem to have experienced with the hot water and the toilet facility for example.
As for the temperature of the pool, there is little to be done since it is not designed as a heated pool. However the guests from Kimal can also use the pool at our sister hotel opposite, Poblado Kimal, which is usually less cold due to its orientation and design.
Thanks to your comments about your second meal in the restaurant we are making our quality control system more rigorous.
