Although it has already been stated in glowing terms, I would just like to ad our kudos to this warm and welcoming place. Sara, the overseer of the property whilst the owner was away, was so helpful to us, planning winery visits, restaurants etc. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the Colchagua Valley wines superb, especially the carmenere. The staff went above and beyond, even showing up very early on the morning of our departure, to give us coffee and a light breakfast to send us off. All questions answered with helpful hints along the way, made our stay truly a joy.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Chile. We spent the first 5 days visiting Santiago, Valparaiso, and areas in between and we were ready to veg out for a bit - that's what we did at this B & B. The staff is really nice, the manager Mauricio really knows his way around Chile and provided clear directions and recommendations of places to visit and places to eat. We arrived on a Weds and checked into the Malbec room, the plan was to check out Friday. However, after the first night I knew I wanted to stay an extra night. It was such a relaxing environment. Someone already had reserved our room on Friday but we were able to move to the Carmenere, which was a bit more expensive but well worth it. If you can spare the extra couple of buck stay in the Carmenere.

They have 2 bikes on the premises which you can use but one had a flat during our stay so we couldn't use them.

They serve breakfast and you can arrange to have lunch or dinner but you need to give them notice so that they can have items in stock and if they don't they will give you other options. My husband is vegetarian and they were very accommodating.

There are 2 super adorable and friendly dogs on the property. We went for a hike and the little tan dog - I think her name is nena (girl) went with us - it was adorable as if she was showing us the way or keeping us safe.

SMALL suggestions:
- breakfast choices should be clearly indicated so that guests know what their options are (i.e., eggs, cereal, toast,...). Personally, I like having the option of either hot dishes or cold. Maybe having a check off list of standard items which people can check off may be easier.

- having a lending library for guest to grab a book and read by the pool.

- clearer directions to the location. There was another couple who didn't have any problems finding it but we did. SO, I added some pictures of things you'll see along the way that may help those of you that get lost easily - like we do - find your way.

It's not easy to write a review of this wonderful lodging that isn't just repetitive of all the many positive comments others have made. What to add to attentive, helpful hosts; gorgeous grounds; clean, comfortable rooms and exquisite breakfasts? Perhaps that if we hadn't had further prepaid reservations in another city, we would never have left Bellavista? Our hosts went out of their way to be helpful, even making tour reservations for us at wineries in Santa Cruz. It is a truly wonderful place, and we really hope to return soon. If we can give any advice, it would be (1) try to spend at least two, better three or more, nights here to fully enjoy it; (2) you must have a car, it's about 9km up a long, steep hill from town and really tough to walk or bicycle; (3) follow their directions carefully or you're likely to miss the place, there are no big, gaudy signs outside.

We really loved Bellavista!

Oriana and everyone else at Bellavista de Colchagua was friendly, helpful and made our stay relaxing and memorable. Beautiful, quaint rooms with an amazing, homemade breakfast. We were only able to stay one night, but would come back in a heartbeat!! A true gem in the middle of the Ruta del Vino en Colchagua Valley, with a beautifully-manicured landscape, you can tell the owners care about the appearance of their business and work hard to maintain it. Also, their lovely pool area is a great place to relax and the beginning or end of the day! Would recommend to anyone!!

We really enjoyed staying here during a weekend in the wine country of Chile. The room was large and comfortable and the surroundings very peaceful. The breakfast was good and the swimming pool very nice. You really need a car to stay here, but if you have a car, I can highly recommend it!

This is a beautiful property with lovely landscaping, very natural looking. The home was well designed and appointed. Each room was named for a kind of wine and all were nicely set up - very appealing. We found the dining area with the big picture window and the living room/family room area charming. Oriana had a nice selection of wines and the food was very good and served nicely. The have homemade flavored honey to drizzle over ice cream - yummy! She was also very helpful!
We would love to go back and stay for more than one night. It was a peaceful setting and very comfortable!
There are quite a few vineyards in the area! Fun to visit!

Room Tip: Cabernet Sauvignon was our room and it was lovely and very spacious! No issues. The bathroom was gr...

This bed and breakfast was recommended to us by friends. It is in a perfect location, right in the heart of the wine district. We stayed here for 3 nights and toured around visiting excellent wineries in the Colchagua Valley. The rooms are well set up with everything you could want. Food and wine is available to purchase until 8pm. The proprietors are very friendly and speak English.
