Surrounded by vineyards, every room has balconies that overlook the vines. Wake up to songbirds in the vines and picturesque views. A perfect place to inspire you for a few more winery tours or to taste a few more great Chilean wines in the area. On site pool, wine bar and comfortable beds add to the experience. Local hotel dog, makes you feel like you are staying in a friends home. Don't miss walking through the vineyards at night with a flashlight to dine at the great Italian restaurant Bello Vino next door, a magical experiences only topped by the superior food, wind and atmosphere of the restaurant. Hotel beds are comfortable. We visited in winter and the down comforters were welcome. direct Tv and wifi in the room, but shouldn't distract you from enjoying the charming hotel, location and nearby activities. Hearty breakfast included. A memorably hotel, when many others would be forgotten.

We've recently spent a week in this hotel - very well recommended.

Staff was very friendly, but I felt some of them lacked preparation (for ex, once I've asked in the reception desk how to get a coffee and they sent me to city center, the hotel apparently didn't have it).

Rooms were decent but very simple. Mattress was terrible, as you could feel its coils in your back. This is something I could leave as a recommendation: please upgrade the mattresses.

On the positive side, the hotel is beautiful and very well located. Walking distance (through the vineyard) to the best restaurant in town. Friendly staff who helped with wine tours reservations. Honest pricing.

Dear guest,

We are so pleased to know that you enjoyed your stay at Hotel TerraViña. It was very nice to have you.
I believe that there was a misunderstanding about the coffee for which I apologize profoundly. Of course, we serve coffee and other beverages in the hotel. Besides, our bar is open 24 hours.
As for the mattresses they are actually the best quality to be had in Chile (Serta) but if you are used to very soft mattresses ours may be on the hard side.
We hope to see you again in Santa Cruz.

Kind regards

Anne Sorensen

For us, the perfect hotel in the perfect location - will recommend to all our friends and will definitely return. Small hotel set in a vineyard in Santa Cruz, walking distance through the vines to a great Italian restaurant (Vino Bello) and the lovely wine tasting with Cesar at Laura Hartwig. Rooms have stripped wooden floors, french doors to a balcony overlooking the vines - and a really comfortable bed! Good breakfast. Catch the afternoon sun enjoying a bottle of wine by the pool, or inside by the wood burning stove in the winter. Great staff - really helpful.

It looks so nice from the outside with its two story white walls and inviting pool, but "minimalist" is an understatement for the interior. We stayed 3 nights in March on a tour with several couples. After we checked in, one man in our group asked with a frown "so what do you think of the rooms?" I could only reply "spartan!" He laughed and agreed. The bedroom was almost empty of furniture, the floors bare, the shower curtained on 2 sides and tiny. Having come from La Casona at Matetic Vineyard, we expected something more luxurious. Continental breakfast here was just okay. The setting, however, was quite lovely, with vineyards all around which framed the mountain sunsets. An evening stroll through the vineyards with provided flashlights took us to a tasty Italian restaurant. That same path also led us to the boutique Laura Hartwig winery for a horse and carriage tour through the vines and a very good tasting.

Dear guest,
Thank you for taking your time to review Hotel TerraViña. We are sorry that we failed to live up to your expectations but please ask yourself if it is fair to compare our country Inn (160USD) to the 5-star hotel (520USD) where you stayed prior to your visit here.
Rather than luxury we have opted for a rustic country style and the Scandinavian simplicity (since I am from Denmark). We have used the best materials only and think it would be a pity to cover the beautiful oak floors with a carpet or put more stuff in the rooms. However, that is a matter of taste and we realize that we cannot please everyone. Fortunately, the vast majority of our guests seem to appreciate what we are.
We hope you enjoyed your trip to Chile.
Kind regards
Anne Sorensen

Surrounded by vines Terravina is a lovely place with just 18 rooms which are a good size, rustic and fresh and very functional. Beds are comfortable and there is a very good shower. Our room was on the upper floor and there was a small balcony where we could sit and enjoy the picturesque view. There is a large swimming pool and a nice garden area where birds were playing continuously.

The owners and staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to help and the place has the nice feel of the owners being on site.

There is a small but adequate breakfast room and nice choice. Although meals are not served they can arrange a cheese platter in the evening although it is only a short walk through the vineyards to a nice Italian restaurant.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms all very similar, slightly better views from upper floor rooms.

This is our third stay at this lovely tranquil hotel set between rows of vines, beautiful garden & pool area, with a back drop of the mountain ranges. The rooms are cosy with a farm house feel, with stunning views from the balcony. Staff are friendly and helpful. Located 5 mins (by car) from the Santa Cruz plaza where you can find the museum (well worth a look) the casino. There is a vin yard with a great restaurant almost next door to the hotel and many other eating options near by. The main vin yards are easily located. This really is one of our favourite getaways from Santiago.

We have enjoyed a three nights in this countryside hotel. Perfect placed in the middle of vineyards
With an old Chilean style and a really quiet place.
They have a good size pool and some restaurants not so far.
The owners are always a around and they personally attend guests.
You will be disconnected from rush world.
