“Short stroll through West Lake promenade ”
Review of West Lake Park

West Lake Park
Ranked #11 of 73 things to do in Quanzhou
Attraction details
Reviewed 17 January 2017 via mobile

On a one day business visit in Quanzhou I had a free hour before leaving town and my host took me for a short hike in the West Lake Park. There were very few people there and it was great to walk around the large man made lake and catch views of a temple, gardens and the museum across.
The lake offers several watersports activities and is very popular for the locals.
Definitely worth your time if in Quanzhou.

The West Lake Park, as the name suggests is a park there is a lake. The water of lake is very clean and have many beautiful lotus on the lake. The West Lake is very big and the park is also big. Strictly speaking, the West Lake is an artificial lake rather than natural lake. But it still have enough attraction. Of course, in the park it must have fitness equipments. The West Lake park is the local people most like to come. When I visited the park, there is a place I think it is very good. That is the parking lot. As we know, the place like park that have large flow of people, the parking problem is very seriously. However, the parking lot of the West Lake park is in perfect order. All the vehicles here are to comply with the order, will not cause confusion, it is very rare and hard to think.

I did not expect to find a gem in this urban area, considering that a lot of the tourist attractions in the city are temples and small park, save for QinYuan Mountain.

The west entrance may be crowded with people but as you gradually walk towards the south entrance, the area becomes more quiet and tranquil. A very good area for people to sit down and relax.

Nice place to relax and enjoy the sun - it does get very busy during the weekend and evenings. If you really wish to enjoy the space to its fullest allow yourself a day (during the week if you can)...
