Amazing Hostel! I was recommended it by 2 separate people I had met travelling and stayed 3 nights. Everyone in this hostel were so friendly and you pretty much met everyone in the first hour of being there. The rooms are awesome, best dorms I have stayed in. Comfy beds, hot showers, It's a ideal place to stay for backpackers, near to bus station, friendly and helpful
staff, and value for money! the owner Hamson is great guy make lots of fun for us. thanks a lot, we will be back !CIAO....

Room Tip: mix-dorm,just 30 RMB with nice view

The hostel is nicely located in Yanshuo, in a quiet street. The west street is only a 10-minute walk or you can rent a bicycle at the hostel for just CNY 10 a day! The owner is very friendly and he speaks English and even a little bit Dutch and French. He can also arrange things for you, like tours or a taxi, for a good price. We did a tour and it was very well organised!
The hostel itself has a nice common room where movies are shown every night. The rooms are clean and quite spacious. You can do your laundry for free and there is free wifi, as well as two computers in the common room that you can use.
Recommend to stay here!

This hostel is located about 15 minutes walking, Up town, from the WestStreet. If you don't want to walk you can take an electric car for RMB 1,00 or TukTuk RMB 10,00 or taxi RMB 15,00.

Close to the hotel is a little supermarker wre you can buy washingpouder, so you can wash the luadry for free in the hotel. Next to the supermarket there is a little restaurant where they serve verry good noodlesoup for only RMB 4,00.

If you don't want to go downtown you can buy your food at the market, witch is close by, and prepair you breakfast, lunch or dinner in the kitchen in the hotel.

The staff is verry friendly and helpfull. You can talk with Hansom for anny advice about trips in and around Yang Shuo ore about information about busses and trains to other places.

Every day at 9 PM you can sit at the lobby with a beer (RMB 5,00) and watch a movie.

The rooms are wide and the prices are verry friendly.

There are 2 computers and for you Laptop, Tablet or Smartphone there is free Wifi. The code is written on a paper om the wall next to the PC's.

This is the best place by far we stayed in China. We were invited to share the family dinner and it was fab !
The bikes are good and only 15 RMB per day and this is the best way to go around.
The common area is full of character and make you feel like home.
Hamson English is great and he can help you with all your questions. I taught him how to do 'crêpes' so if they are not good blame it on me.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet. Ours was a triple on the 6 floor with views of the mountains.

We booked two nights in the dorm after reading reviews on Hostelworld about the great beds they supposedly have here. Boy, we were in for a surprise! The beds might be good in the privates, but in the dorm they were nothing more than a towel on a wooden plank. The dorm was occupied by some Chinese people who seemed to live there. It had a small bathroom, which was occupied a lot, so you had to run down 5 floors for the other shared bathroom. Quite inconvenient. It wasn't very clean either, with lots of hairs laying around and it smelled like sigarette smoke a lot. The room had good aircon and it was quiet at night.
However, the dorm was very, very cheap (3$). This of course made up for the lack of comfort.
The guy running the hostel in afternoons and evenings (Hamsom), is very nice and speaks excellent English! We tried some of his homemade rice wine and he showed us how to drink tea in the Chinese way. The drinks you can buy downstairs are very nicely priced. Hamsom shows movies every night, which makes this a great spot to spent your evening without having to go out and spent loads of money in overpriced bars on West street. There are computers there that can access facebook for the social media junkies, there's also wifi.
We rented bikes here, but they didn't work properly so we returned them and got a refund without further questions.
All in all I would highly recommend this hostel. It's quiet, very cheap and a good place to hang out because of the movies, cheap drinks and good company.

We really enjoyed our stay at Travellers Land, so much so that we extended for an additional two nights. Like other reviewers, we were a bit weary about this hostel because of it's price, but the low price in no way reflected the level of quality. We paid about $11 USD per night for a private room w/ en-suite bathroom.

Pros:
-Price (Can't be beat. Dorm beds from $2.50 USD per night, Privates for $11 USD)
-Location (10-15 minute walk to city center. Near Yulong River bike trail)
-Helpful staff (Friendly, English speaking and able to answer all the questions we had)
-Cheap beer for sale (Only $0.75 for a large bottle)
-Nice common room (very welcoming with A/C that blasts)
-Movies every night at 9:00PM
-Bikes for rent
-Free Pick-up the day you arrive in town
-Free Wifi and computers available (A must these days)
-Free Laundry Service (A major plus when on an extended trip)
-Beer Fish dinner was tasty, fun, and a good value

Cons:
-Charge for use of kitchen
-Very firm mattress (was more like sleeping on a wooden floor)
-Cleanliness of bathroom could have been better, but it was acceptable

Overall, Travellers is a really great hostel and we definitely recommend it to other backpackers looking for a quality place at a low price in Yangshou. You really can't go wrong here!

When we were looking for accomadation in Yangshuo, we thought the cheapest option would not be so good, but we were on a budget. We were wrong; the cheapest option is so much better!

For a double private toilet we paid 70Y per night. For that we got western toilets (not garrunteed or even clean in Chinese hostels), DIY kitchen, 4Y beer and 5Y rice wine. The rooms were clean with A/C, TV's and kettles, the washing machine is free, the internet is fast.

The common room is still a little bare, but thats only because the place is so new that it hasn't had time to develop it's own atmosphere. But it does have personality! The owner Hamson (not hansom) speaks very good english. He runs the place with his family. Do not be suprised if your invited to eat with them, and agree to cook dinner the following night!

The location is a little out of the way from the main part of town. In a town like Yangshuo though, being a little way out means an extra 5 minute walk. I didn't mind that at all. The hostel is tucked away down a little side street among where the real people live. The small hole-in-the-wall restaurants close by are amazing value; I paid 4Y for a good bowl of beef noodles, where in the main tourist area it would cost 12Y.

All up I would highly recomend this hostel, it is everything a hostel should be. It's clean, cheap, fun and has SOFT beds!!!! I would be hard pressed to find a better hostel.
