We stayed here for only one night expecting at least a clean safe and decent room instead we get a room with a nasty look musty smell carpet only one light a one broken with prongs expose.AC working just for moments and defected toilet. Awful experience. Never again.

This hotel, which is very close to the airport, exists purely for the stranded traveler, or for trysts. It is quite spartan, but very inexpensive. The shuttle driver is great - he will drive you to the local Hardee's or Kebab house (there is currently no food at the hotel), the desk clerk was very nice, and the bartender Paul is a hoot. As long as you won't be there for more than a few hours, it's quite adequate.

The hotel is 1 mile from the Birmingham, Al airport. It is very comfortable, clean and the customer service is great. The only drawback from the hotel is there's nothing around it as far as dining and the kitchen was closed the weekend I stayed. If you are looking for a inexpensive place to lay your head this is it.

We stayed at this hotel because it was close to the airport. Only one night. The price was really, really low. The hotel is dated and has seen better days. The door to the room was old and worn. The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our friends that live in Birmingham were aghast that we stayed in this part of town, evidently it is not a good area.

This hotel is across the interstate from the hotel where the murders took place during a robbery several years ago on Thanksgiving Day. I can't imagine how you can make such a bold statement, lie, about someone's business. The robbery was at Days Inn, it is now America's Best Value Inn. The Clarion is clean, comfortable and a great value. The airport shuttle is the best thing in town.

Room Tip: their park and fly program is great. the convenience to the airport makes it a great value. you can spend the night, be dropped off at the curb at the terminal for less than you can park at the airport and drag your luggage a mile to the terminal.
