“Friendly folks in tight quarters”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 December 2012

We saw and recommend Amanda Shires and Rod Picott. Nice, safe atmosphere. First-timers are welcomed. Two little girls brought their bean bags to lounge on in front of the small stage. You can't go wrong here.
Google Earth and Garmin are off about a block or two. Look for a strip mall between two water tanks across the street from Lovers Leap (serious drop). The MotM door is between a buffet restaurant and a barber shop.

“Like a concert in your living room”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2012

BYOB and come as you are to hear a great variety of music in a relaxed atmosphere. Even if you have never heard of the artist performing, you will undoubtedly walk away as a new fan of a rising star.

“Basement music hall in Bluff Park”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2012

It is a music hall that is byob and highlights local talent. Because of this most folks go to hear someone they know or a "friend of a friend." The quality of musicians can vary trememdously, but all talent has to start somewhere and places like moonlight give them that opportunity.

“Great value for entertainment and ambiance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2012

We discovered this little venue by accident. The owner believes in supporting the music community and provide it in a low cost venue. Don't be fooled by this. Sound quality and ambience are excellent. You can bring whatever food and drink you want in. Nothing is sold on site. Free coffee was available. You pay at the door $10 and all of this goes to the artist. There is also a jar at the door to help pay for the venue. It is located on the top of a mountain overlooking a valley. Walk across the street and get excellent views. Check out the website to see who is performing. http://www.moonlightonthemtn.com/MOTM/Calendar.html A wide variety of known artists perform. What a hidden gem.

If you want to go to a nice neighborhood place to hear live music this is it. It's laid back but a classy place. BYOB.
