Hotel is beautiful, beautiful area. Sort of far from town but the amenities make up for it. Pool area is fantastic as is the food. Room is just a normal room, but still nice.

This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. My wife and I took our two grandchildren to Ross Bridge in order to give our children a weekend off. The staff is warm and courteous and the swimming pool perfect for children with the area around the pool large enough for adults to have their own space. We checked in at 5:30 and the hallways leading to our room still had towels and linens along with room service trays in them, not just a few but at almost all of the doors to rooms. Our room was very clen and quiet. The room service food was very good. The only negative, besides slow service in the restaurant was the $10.00 charge for each child's small bowl of cereal and galss of millk. The Egg's Benedict was delicious. We will do it again since we all had fun and the only the seperating tis resort from being a great resort are the "little things".e

I live about an hour from Birmingham and wanted to do something for my mother for her birthday so I booked a one night getaway for Sunday Sept 28. It was a surprise for her 86th birthday. We were welcomed and allowed to check inearly and they even accomodated us with a handycap accessable room which was perfect for Mom as she occasionally tires and uses a wheel chair to get around. The young man at the desk was super. We used the valet parking just for convenience and only $16. After settling into our well appointed double queen room with balcony we chose to lunch at the golf club restaurant. Again, greated warmly and promptly. We both had a Greek Salad and ordered Guacomle for an appitizer (great combination) Wonderful Bloody Mary. Then off to the gorgeous pool with pretty view of the mill setting. Nice sloping entrance into pool--easy for Mom to get in and out. We loved watching the kids on the water slide. Mom then had an appointment for a manicure (BE SURE TO BOOK SPA TREATMENTS WHEN TOU BOOK THE ROOM) Great service mom enjoyed the rosemary mint manicure, Headed to the room to relax and watch the sun go down complete with bagpiper playing. We loved that. Decided to indulge and do room service which was quick and good. Rented a movie throught the TV service and cuddled up in our soft white duvet covers and feather pillows. Check out was smooth and mom said it was a great birthday! Shopping not to far at the Galleria and Patton Creek Shopping areas is a few miles drive. The drive to Ross Bridge makes you think you are in the middle of the AL backwoods--no adjacent businesses. Would reccomend this for families and a romantic getaway. The commute may be a bit inconvenient for the business traveler as the airport is north of Birmingham and the Hotel is South of Birmingham (about a 45 minute ride) Overall Great Southern Hospitality!

I recently spent one night at this property and had a very nice stay. The rooms were large, clean and modern. My king room was nothing too fancy but was very comfortable. The first room I checked into overlooked the circular drive in front of the hotel but I after requesting another room I was quickly greeted by a bellman who took my bags to another room overlooking the golf course. The staff and everyone I encountered during my stay was extremely friendly and very helpful.

The bed was extremely comfortable and my room on the 5th floor was very quite. The bathroom was of good size and the shower was very nice. What you would expect in an upscale hotel.

This hotel has two restaurants both of which had outstanding food and very good service. I was surprised their was no mini bar in the room but I ordered a late night snack from room service which was delivered promptly. Note: room service is not 24 hours and my choices at 11:30 p.m. were very limited although the chips, cookies, and soft drink did the trick. Although I did not take advantage of the pool area or spa both looked very nice. The pool and hot tub were large and looked extremely nice. The pool featured a very cool waterfall and water slide.

I did have the opportunity to play a round of golf at the course located on property which is fantastic. Note to golf enthusiast there are an additional 36 holes just 1.5 miles from the hotel. This is no doubt a wonderful hotel. If you are looking for a weekend getaway or a destination hotel you will very much enjoy Ross Bridge. However if you are coming to Birmingham with lots on your agenda this is probably not the hotel for you. It is in a beautiful yet remote setting which is at least 25 minutes from the airport and most anything else for that matter.

The rates at this hotel seem to vary but a standard king can typically be had for around $189, higher than most in Birmingham but again this is a very nice property.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor and request a pool or golf course view

A beautiful area but too many disappointments to make it worth the trip. Not easy to find. Definately not convenient location to airport or anything else. Front desk staff lacking in sophistication and a bit immature. Don't bother with room service; poor food quality, mediocre service, very overpriced. Steak and 'frites' was a hunk of meat and soggy steak fries- no presentation effort,no knife. Gaggles of children minus adults racing noisily up and down hall made it seem like a theme park vs the upscale golf resort I believe this property is trying to be.

Dropped our son off at UA and stayed for one night. Very nice hotel, rooms and pool area. Great golf on the property and other courses very close by. Average food. Enjoyable stay and would recommend.
