Dirty overall. Bathroom filthy, floors dirty ( carpet and tile) towels too small to,use, furniture upholstery had black arms from dirt, black stains in seat, television blurry, breakfast the worst I've ever had. We went to a restaurant the second morning!

Older building but fairly well maintained. Rooms were very clean, comfortable bed and during our stay (two nights). The rooms were somewhat quiet, but the hotel needs updating. The receptionists were luke-warm. I would stay here again, only if there was a good deal.

Was stranded here during freak snow and ice storm. Saw nasty staff kick people out of lobby, lock doors and turn off lights in early evening when even Home Depot was letting people sleep in aisles. Temperatures were in the teens and no one was allowed in the lobby. Cruel and immoral

Room Tip: Suggest travelers boycott this hotel as there are others close by who helped people that bad night

First, let me apologize for any misunderstanding that occurred during the period between January 28th and 29th. It was truly a difficult time for all involved.
Due to the quickly developing weather conditions, we were all caught off guard and tried to do everything in our power to help all those affected. The front desk assistant had clocked in for duty at 6am the morning of January 28th. By 1:47pm I received a call from her explaining that we were sold out, either by reservations and/or walk-in customers. At that time she had begun a waiting list for people who had arrived after we were totally booked. As the few cancellations came in, she placed people in rooms by the order in which they arrived. Unfortunately, we could not satisfy the remaining requests, which created a difficult situation for the desk assistant on duty. By 7pm, I received a call from her asking if she could quickly run and get something to eat since she had not eaten all day. I gave her permission to do so because she also had medication to take with her meal. She did not have the ability to secure the back office so the only other option was to secure the lobby until she returned, which was within 20 minutes of her leaving. She then re-opened the lobby to receive and help other distressed travelers to her best ability.


This young lady was on duty for 35hrs non stop during which she checked in 95 rooms, processed cancellations and placed guests accordingly, prepared breakfast for over 100 people the next morning, processed renewal requests for guests staying an additional night, and finally covering the front desk and processed arriving guests until she was relieved, by me, after 35 hours of continuous service.
I want to again extend my deepest apologies for any inconvenience that occurred and also ask that you consider the position that our clerk was put in during that time. She was under pressure to perform duties over and above what one person is asked to do during the specified length of time and did the best she could possibly do under the conditions that she had to work.
It is my hopes that we all use what we have learned during this terrible event to make future changes for the better and be more equipped to handle things of this nature in a more efficient manner.
